take your own sheets?

A couple of new...

 - Traveling with pets is a great way to keep housekeeping and staff out of your room. They won't go in unless you're there. I got in a routine recently and would meet the staff in the corridor to pass of trash and to collect new towels. SO much better than having to fight housekeeping for possession of the room.

 - Traveling with your own personal wifi hotspot is the best way to keep *everyone* out of your business across multiple devices. No need to use the hotel wifi where they can see everything you do. Guys who hobby and with lots to lose the private wifi gadget is a good idea for you too. There are pay as you go plans with no contract that work just like phones. Yes, your phone can act as a hotspot but who wants to pay those ridiculous fees and if you're on a shared family plan you never know what might pop up by accident.

 And a few old...

 - Its always a good idea to take the batteries out of your toys before passing through TSA.
 - Bringing your own cleaning supplies are a no brainer for keeping your room fresh and disinfected.
 - I travel with cut up bars of dial antibacterial bar soap, extra toothbrushes and combs. They add a nice touch and the antibacterial soap is 10x better for getting a body clean than hotel soaps. Delicious!!

Hope this helps! I'd love to hear yours!

What kind of pet?    I love dogs, but I don't want some strange dog looking at me while I hump his/her lady.   A snake would send me running out of the room.    Now, a parakeet  saying "Laney wanna fuuck, Laney wanna fuuck..." could be cute for the first few minutes.

Two rooms and a dividing door do the trick. Most animals are good - they get bored and go to sleep after a few minutes. I had a cat with me. He usually comes out to say hello and then slides under the bed for a good nap while I'm visiting.

Absolutely!
I haven't seen  the on the go wifi, however I do have the little sprint gadget for my wifi.Without a doubt you must by your own personal shower gel for yourself and one for guys.I love the huggies, cucumber melon baby wipes too.

I'm all ears and can never get enough information about technology!

I haven't toured properly* yet, so I'll be watching for good tips! Thanks for starting the thread, Laney! :)

Does anyone here successfully get deposits?

*I did "tour" NYC, but it was more like a trip that I'd already planned for civvie purposes and I threw an ad up just before going. I had a few bites but they all canceled last minute except for my lovely dinner date.

My lil dog is a real conversation piece for my clients..I dress her up in a pretty dress and bow..and  my Gents
get a big kick out of it..
she is really lay back ..little spoiled ...but causes no problems..some of my regular gents bring her treats too!
Most of the time when I travel i havea little folding cage.that really helps!
also the la Quinta has no pet deposit fee...so that is good~
My lil dog is a great travel companion!...
they sell service dog vests and tags on active dogs .com  .. just a tip a lot of people use when traveling and do not want to pay $150 pet deposit and some hotels make you pay a x-tra $15 a day too!
ok..
good luck..
PM me if ya want more info with traveling with a pet!
Kisses..
Keri

... I forgot to mention it. I was living out of a hotel for the last month so was staying several days at a time at the same hotel. I found places that charge $75 per pet for the entire stay.

I **love** that you take your little one with you and that you dress her up in cute clothes. It's super cute that your clients like it and bring her treats. I'd love to see a photo but I know that's probably not possible.

Sounds like Keri has dog travel covered. If you're traveling with a cat you should definitely call me. I put two cats in their carriers over 9 times in 30 days. They have gone from wailing cry-kitties to cool as a cucumber jet setter cats. It's all about the owner and how they handle the moving about.

....I'm interested in your answer to Sarah too. Thank you!!

...she takes black satin king sized sheets. They are awesome! They really set the mood. She dims the lights, has candles and the black satin sheets are really a step above the sterile white standard hotel sheets! (Note: one can slide off the bed, especially when there are 3 people on it...:))

In the day of laptops I would bring a selection of porn and have them on in the background (muted) in addition to some of my favorite music.

- A collection of neutral smelling hotel soap
- Candle warmer
- Pandora
- An extra playing device, like a wireless speaker, in case the clock isn't compatible
- Old iPod  (Ver 4 or lower might work with the hotel clock/dock)
- Pay as you go Hot Spot (T-Mobile)
- Secure VPN app when surfing on wifi.  Updating an Apple anything or watching something online will eat up data.
- Solid colored plastic grocery bags. Bag the guilty garbage and have it tied off before room cleaning or between appointments.

I have started bringing towels and wash cloths for longer visits.  I'll tip with a note to get extra towels.

I would love the PM of other helpful hints too!

If you do have multiple sets of towels/wash cloths, you might want to put away all but what you and your client intend to use.  One client used every towel I had ... and he was my first appointment.
