I am not sure for other girls but can only speak for myself. I did it for the fun.. They made fun of me when I was in the business about it... If I ever meet any of you I can tell you the stories... But, there was always a running joke between the "Real" Porn Stars and the ones who only did a few movies. They wanted to Feature dance and make money or Escort.  
I was in the Industry from 1999 - 2009 which is a long time for a woman in the Industry.
Any other questions I would love to answer. :)

A girl is a porn star when she's spread all over the internet porn sites (pun intended). From my astute observations which count for shit, we have two porn stars posting regularly on this board. I can google either one of them and find their pornos all over the place and feel very satisfied afterward. So yeah, they're "stars".

I knew a porn star who was definitely a celebrity. We were hanging out in Beverly Hills one Saturday night at the mechanical bull-riding bar and when she went up to ride, a bunch of people came up to me and asked me if she was "****" and I said yep. The next thing you know, these people (male and female) were out of their seats videoing her entire bull ride, the house announcer gave her a formal introduction, and the entire bar roared with applause. I think that qualifies as "celebrity".

Making porn movies has nothing to do with whether what they have to say is interesting - just like the rest of us. So no.

From what I can tell, faking O's in pornos works wonders for faking O's with clients. Every porn girl I've been with has had great O's and they were very convincing even if they weren't real. So yes to that question.

Again, I know a porn star who was outed to her family by one of those celebrity porn outing blackmail sites. At first her mother was horrified but that ended quickly once she realized how popular her daughter was all over the country. Within a few days, her mother had gone out and bought up every issue of Hustler for the month my friend did a spread (again pun intended) and Mom was giving Hustlers to all her friends and family. She was actually proud that her daughter was famous. I never quite understood Mom's reaction but hey, actresses lead strange lives. So yes to that question if they're outed, no if not.

When one stops doing porn and begins escorting, by definition they're looking for attention since attention == $$$$. So as long as she's not violating any board rules, she has every right to post here as you and I do. That's not a WK stance, that's a statement of the board posting rules

"Girlvert" by Oriana Small, and "I am Jennie" by Jennifer Ketcham (aka Penny Flame).  I had a  serious porn-crush on Penny Flame.  
Both of these books were a great read, but the authors had very different paths with their porn careers.
My questions:
1)  How do you feel about fellow actors who fail STD tests, and continue to work in porn films anyways? I have read a few stories on the internet about this, and considering the frequency of testing, it is quite surprising that it has been more than one instance.
