Low T and oral med Clomiphene

Hey guys.  I've battled borderline low T for a few years but never was thrilled at the idea of the gel.  I recently started seeing a new doctor for my type 2 diabetes and he did routine lab work and saw my testosterone was in the 200's, so he prescribed me a pill called Clomiphene.  I take just a half a pill a day.  In 4 months my T increased to over 800 with zero side effects.

I researched this med and it's been around for quite awhile but is known as a "women's drug" that is given for infertility.  I think that's why so few doc's prescribe I to men.  But it sure worked for me.  Now it didn't make me get hard-on's like in my 30's or anything but it sure helped.

Just wanted to share.  Ask your doc about it.

I had not heard of this. My doctor will not prescribe any testosterone supplements for me because they stimulate prostate growth, and at my age prostate growth is not good. I wonder what effect Clomiphene would have on the prostate. I did a little search this morning and found that a generic for Clomiphene is Fertomed. It is available online without a prescription at reasonable prices, but I could not find anything about it’s effect on the prostate. My testosterone level is not abnormally low for my age, but acting my age is not what I had in mind. I think it would be nice to spike the testosterone level from time to time, but don’t want to damage an aging prostate. Further research is needed before experimenting with this stuff.
