Very astute observations, you only left out one thing. Most of the directors are idiots, which makes one hate being on a set, to the point if you could, you'd make them disappear, for good!
I second that one!!!!!! OMG ~ it was so annoying to the point I was going to strangle them! They were so concerned that they were making the next "Gone with the Wind"!!! Really sad, because most of the talent that I would like to see do more XXX scenes, don't do many any more. This may come as news to you but the vast majority of pornstars don't actually like making porn. They LOVE the money and the freedom it gives (no 9-to-5 job) but having sex on video isn't the glamorous lifestyle you might think it is.
As the porn world has been flooded with more and more female talent (all seeking the glamorous lifestyle only to find out it isn't) and free porn has taken over, the money the girls can make has dropped substantially. And so the girls have moved to escorting, which pays better, requires less time and effort, and provides them with more control (try getting DAP with a pornstar escort, good luck).
Guys delude themselves into thinking these girls are really into it. It's nothing new, it's been like that forever. Because who wants to jerk off to a girl who is secretly thinking she hates her doing this but it pays the bills? Look at Jenna Haze. Porn is a fantasy. It's not reality. And when making porn isn't as profitable as escorting, guess what?
