wax. Is the wax used for dripping wax during sex the same as typical candles you would but in the store? There is this woman who asked me to go to a adult store to get them , but they were out. The employee there said I could just use regular candles, but I wanted to check with the board to make sure.

Thanks,

...by a Provider and I really enjoyed it. So much so that I'd buy one at an adult store each time I saw her after that and we'd give each other light massages. I let her keep the candles when we were done.

that they are different and that you need to get the candles that are made for it.  But I could be wrong.  Many years ago I got some and  i still have them, granted they are much smaller then before. I'm like 99.9 % sure that there is a difference in them.

There are specific ones for that purpose only.
But if you can't find those and your in a pinch,
You can use a  regular one. Just get a long single wick, will work best. In my experience the trick is to hold it up high enough so when it touches the body It will be cooled off enough to not cause pain just pleasure. I'm sure she will have knowledge of that.
Just Have her try it on a not so sensitive part of your body first and you will be able to tell if she should go higher up or not.
Just be careful around those sensitive parts. If She doesn't already do this. Have her blind fold you while she is doing it.
The Pleasure is more intense with no sense of sight.
 Good luck and Have fun.

Ive been on both sides of the candle experience using just regular candles.
But thats more for bdsm type play and not advisable unless you really want some pain.

For a more sensual experience you could try soy candles the soy can be used for masssage after it hits the skin. Its really lovely.

in general soy based or paraffin based candles burn at a much lower temp.  Regular tapers (especially if scented) burn at a much higher temp and are more likely to cause burns.  My partner loves paraffin and hates soy based candles.  The soy candles are so low tem that the wax is really soft and "squishy", whereas the paraffin actually dries hard.  neither cause burns if used properly.

I'd be very reluctant to use a regular candle unless you are used to doing wax play.  Especially if your partner is really fair skinned.  They tend to burn more easily (like Chloe said)
