Wasn't there/don't know the girl, suednuff,

And hence can't tell you what you should be worried about. Obviously YOU were protected, so if there's an STD involved, it's going to be her problem. As far as pregnancy - well, if she's using the pill, then there really is no cause for concern, is there? If not, then who knows?

My advice is to contact her and ask her, if you are worried about her contraceptive methods. Taking your cue from someone else's lack of concern apparently does not work so well, since you really are worried.

LG, I need your thoughts on this.  I searched the other boards and didn't find anything helpful.

I have limited experience but enough to know that the lady involved is in the best position to remove the condom after we are finished.  About two weeks ago, the girl involved kind of messed up, and I think a little ejaculate wound up leaking inside her.  She did not seem the least concerned, and went to "clean up."  I guess, given she has a lot more at stake than I do (like an STD), I should take my cue from her lack of concern.  I am not worried so much about an STD, as I know I don't have one, but rather accidental pregnancy.

Am I concerned over nothing?

"I have limited experience but enough to know that the lady involved is in the best position to remove the condom after we are finished."

Why is that? When done, I always grab the condom at the base before withdrawing. I figure I'm more in control of my penis than she is. I've heard too many stories, here, where the guy lays there for awhile then withdraws, forgetting his penis has probably deflated a bit, and the condom is left in.

Take matters into your own hands, literally!

Unlike other issues surrounding hobbying, there seems to be a distinct lack of protocall regarding the removal of the condom.

I tend to finish most times in mish, so since it is my move to decided when the time is right to withdraw, it would also seem to be my responsibility to reach down and make sure nothing untoward occurs.

In most cases, this has worked out, but in a few cases, the gal has reached down there after I started to make my move and pushed my hand away so that she could be in control of the operation.  This is not a problem for me, but I've never quite understood why this is never discussed.

In cases where we finish in cowgirl, it is the gal who makes the move.  Even here I have taken the lead to reach down, and often without any objection on my partner's part, but also found that the gal would simultaneously reach down too.

It often makes for a briefly uncomfortable situation.

I'd be interested in hearing LG's and other gals' take on this.

I am pretty anal when it comes to protection (pun intended). When it is time to withdraw either she reaches down, or I do.  If there is any doubt I ask. Nothing wrong with talking and clear communication. Cheers.

I don't know about the lady being in the best position to remove the condom. Why is her position any better than mine when it comes to this? I simply take it as my responsibility to hold on to it when I withdraw, so I do.
