Hi please don't flame me because of what I am about to discuss. I am a lurker to this board and several other sites and I have never dated a provider. I recently saw a post from one of my local provider that was asking for help with her web site design and she was offering an exchange of services. I admitted do not know alot about website design and told the lady as much but I was the only person who had responded to her post so we agreed to a swap. I have spent multiple hours working on her web site design and I do have it looking fantastic excpet I do not have all the information from the provider that I need. I have sent her several emails and IMs just trying to get her to get me the rest of the information that I need and she has been unresponsive. I don't want to sound like a jerk but we did have an agreement and I have done as much as I can to complete her site and I feel I should be compinsated for my work.
What should I do? I don't want to flame the girl and I will not reveal her name or post negative things about her because she is a highly rated provider who I would like to spend time with but I want to know what options I have or what I should do. Thanks for listening and for any advice you can provide.

Everyone gets busy .... I guess you could always hold her website hostage if you like or maybe your fantastic is her so so ... in any case be polite, try and continue to work with her, if not FLAME ON !!!....so far you've done a very good job in explaining yourself ... all we ask is that you be honest ...
Try calling her. Some of the ladies are slow to answer email but do much better with phone calls and voice mail.
If you still can't reach her she may be away. Keep trying. If you don't hear from her by next week then you might want to post a 411 on her local board to see if anyone knows where she is.
If you had an agreement then she should stick to her end of the bargain. It could be that she's just busy or she could possibly have changed her mind about the swap. I would suggest giving her the option of paying you in cash as well.
Dealing with the person working on your website is, in my experience, more likely to want to make you throttle them than f*ck them! 
I'll be in LA from September 16th (see my post yesterday on the LA board) and I'm thinking about visiting Vegas for a couple of days the following week. It's a year since I've been in Vegas, that's too too long! x
