You will need to show your ID and state your reason for visiting..... 
Is it difficult for a visitor to park at a Disney resort if they're visiting a guest? Will the gate staff call the guest to verify or just turn the visitor away? I'm assuming someone here will have arranged this before.
when you park at the resorts the guard will ask for ID and ask if you are checking in. Just say you are meeting friends for dinner,they'll let you right in. That is the technique I use when I park at Boardwalk to avoid parking fees at Epcot.
