Sindie and I hosted a couple of mixers quite a few years
ago and they were a blast--as well as a huge hit.  Oh yes,
a lot of hard work on both of our parts, but financially  
became an issue.

If anyone is interested in helping to co-host with me and
assist with the upfront financial I would be willing to  
do this.  However, he/she needs to be well known in the
community as I will not risk mine or anyone's safety for
that matter...
