I like to talk with the lady first. Just something about hearing her voice clues me in to what kind of connection we will have. Is that why some ladies insist on speaking before meeting? On the other hand, I just met a lovely lady and it was text messages almost to her door. Super visit but I never had that verbal gut check. So how do you feel about the need to talk before meeting?I want to speak with a gentleman before meeting. There is a lot you get from speaking with someone that you can't from a text message. I like to hear the tone in someone's voice as well as their personality. There's a lot more spontaneity in a verbal conversation so you can pick up chemistry.

I'm all for the personal voice communication but too often it's text to the room. Text isn't a deal breaker because its all backed up with solid TER reviews.

I've spent time with two TER Icons and never spoken them on the phone. "Helen" and in Seattle, "Lovelee". Ten great visits with Helen and 5 great visits with Lee......
That's the way they want it.......
On the other hand I've enjoyed hour+ phone chats with ladies and I agree, that makes the first visit much easier.....
unless we ask for one and since what you look like doesn't matter to me,
I INSIST on hearing a voice before a knock at the door.
Just like a sweet smile or eyes I can see a soul in....
from a phone call, I get a sense of what that person is like
and since I ONLY see gentlemen I feel I will enjoy, the anticipation,
after hearing their voice is a treat I wouldn't want to miss.
I haven't found a book on screening hobbyists to read. I stick to text and letting my website do the talking.
I prefer email conversation until screening is done. After that I will agree to a phone call if requested. If it must be voice or text, I prefer voice, as you can say a lot more. Texting is tedious, and you need to wait for well thought out responses rather than the instant gratification of a verbal response on the phone. There is more honesty in a phone conversation.
Personally once I have screened a gentleman, I do not need either, as I am comfortable enough to meet him at that point, and I find initial meetings very exciting, Endless conversations ahead of time can become tedious and time wasting. I enjoy the excitement of that initial face to face meeting.
I prefer text.. when it is time to meet A quick call.. Seems via text all the questions are out of the way . then a fast voice check.. then once we r in person we can chat...

For years I had my number published and honestly, now that I am email only, it
is wonderful!!! No more wasted calls and those crazy 2am calls either.
Once I get the screening done and the gent is clear, I will give them my number.
At that time I give them the option to call and chat first. Otherwise, a 1 hr
call before the appt. is required so I can give a destination.
So in my world, it is completely up to the gent...However, having a little chit
chat prior to break the ice and let them hear my sexy voice (at least that is
what I am told)...always works for me...

That is the best way. Email along with TER handle will enable the lady to read and check the guy's activity on TER (reviews, posts). Phone call and hearing each other out and getting answers to questions either may have about the other should be enough to go forward or end it.
though to read the girls website first. Because I know me...and the ter handle and an
email address will not satisify my screening requirements.
If the gent sends all the info in the first email then it will save alot of time with
back and forths emails...that is for sure..
