There is a provider I see fairly regularly, when I arrive a huge smile comes across her face followed by an instant embrace and for the next hour I am in paradise. Her overall rating is over 8 and the rate she charges me is below average. And, based on her reviews she provides services to me that she does not for others. However, I continue to visit other providers who are never as enjoyable an many who charge more. So, why do I wander?

Its basic evolutionary biology. Males are hard wired to seek out as many different females as they can. This gives their genes a larger base in terms of diversity and spreads their seed out wider. Its very unnatural for primate males to be monogamous and humans are no exception.

I am not going to disclose the identity of my friend for many reasons. I have not reviewed my special friend. As for Jamie, she is wonderful and charming and was one of my partners when wandering.

To keep your perspective. Start seeing one provider exclusively and you might start having some dangerous thoughts...not that you necessarily will, but the potential is there.
I don't think exclusivity necessarily predisposes somebody to those dangerous thoughts. If the dangerous thoughts are going to happen, they are going to happen whether you are seeing just one, or one hundred girls. Wandering may distract you temporarily from the dangerous thoughts, but it won't stop them.
Does one go exclusive as a result of thinking that way, or can exclusivity start causing one to think something is there that isn't? Of course I'm not ruling out that one can exclusively see a great provider, keep boundaries and be perfectly fine doing that...I'm talking about possibilities, not probabilities.
You make very good points. It definitely happens both ways though (in fact it's happened to me both ways).
The flip side as well. You see someone too often the excitement starts to dissipate and it becomes rote and you begin taking each other for granted. I get that for free at home

I have two of those. They are wonderful ladies. I treat them with respect, and am a regular. It is a two way street
You play the field for fun, excitement and variety. But after a while, you meet someone with whom you connect on a certain level-sexually, intimately, personality, whatever. And so you repeat and repeat again and again, broadening and deepening what it is you two have. And the sex doesn't become rote because you do things you've always wanted to do or never even thought about doing. Yet, you still see other girls for the fun, excitement and variety, and in the end, you realize what a good thing you've got with your girl. So, I think your behavior, Mr. Cubbie, would pass for being within normal limits for this hobby world we live in.
