What city?

Without looking it up, can you name the city where this photo is taken, and anything else about it? And then post your own

The dolphin lamps along the Thames

Hi, Sarah, it was delightful to meet you at the M&G. That's the Thames embankment in London, with the very distinctive lamp posts and a skyscraper that wasn't there last time I was. And if I could figure out how to attach a pic to this reply, I'd happily send another one or two.

It was lovely meeting you too! :)

To post a photo, just look for what you want on google images, click the thumbnail for the image, click on "view photo" (*not* "View page"), copy that URL (it should end with a .jpg), and paste it to the box at the bottom of the reply box that says "Photo URL". The photo will appear once you post it! And yes, It's London. I'd love to guess yours! :D

This is a personal photo, not a Google image, but let's see if it works:

No, it didn't work. To be able to post your own photo you'll have to host it online somewhere. Try this one

Wow. The lady even names the bridge!

Thanks for explaining to me how to post pics. I'm slow but eventually I get it.

Paris! Pont Alexandre III?

have absolutely no clue.  But I am very curious as to where it is.

Swim

It's London! Along the Thames, Embankment side. They are along the Southbank side as well. It's such a beautiful walk! When I lived there, I used to run along the Thames.

Swim- post something from somewhere you've been! There are plenty of things here in Tampa even! :)

I guess it is near the Docklands.

It's "The Little Mermaid" in Copenhagen, Denmark. :)

Sadly, I was in Denmark for a while and never actually went to see her. :(

A little naked girl on a rock?  That would be Copenhagen. And not the snuff!

The Little Mermaid - Sarah you should post these more broadly. Fun game!

Yes! It's Copenhagen. It s fun, isn't it! So glad you're enjoying it too. :)

Famous bridge, famous view ...

You folks down south are having way too much fun!

Stunning! Would never have guessed it. I've never been to Florence!

Windsor! St John the Baptist Parish in the background? That's my best guess.

When I saw the photo, my immediate guess was Windsor, as I lived there for a time near the high street. But it wasn't the castle in the background, and that's what threw me. I know Windsor castle well, and there isn't any part of it that looks like that with 4 points, but I know that there's a famous church there called John the Baptist. So that's what I guessed. Then I researched it further, and when I zoom in on your photo, I noticed the location of the gift shop in your photo on the left side with the blue sign: Windsor Gifts and Souvenirs. That means your back is to the castle, and straight ahead on your right would be the church above the trees. And in that general direction is the Long Walk. Below is a picture of the castle with the church behind you and the gift shop on your right. And here's a link to a photo similar to yours with the gift shop on your left and the church straight ahead. The street is called Church St.

When our tour bus traveled from London to Windsor the tour guide pointed out the far lane which was exclusively the Queens. I suppose it's true.

Agh- that's a hard one. Looks like a German eagle on the building (or facade), and I thought it might be the Brandenburg Gate, but that's in the middle of a city. But the statuary in the foreground looks Roman, maybe Italy? So... I give up. Let's see if someone else can guess it!

nobody's guessed it. What is it? :)

The gardens of Schönbrunn, the imperial palace in Vienna.

Thank you! I'd have never guessed it! :)

Yes! It's one of the neatest buildings.

Did you know Dali was a fascist? He was kicked out of the surrealist movement because of it. They say never meet your heroes. :(

Ok- your turn to post so we can guess! :)

Versailles, the garden façade from the parterres

I almost said Drottingholm in Sweden. Never been to Versailles!

I am terrible at this game! But I love that swoopy roof.

I'm stumped. Somewhere in Japan I'd say and are those Cherry trees in the background?

It's Japan, Nagoya Jo! A beautiful castle.

Oh come on.....this isn't too hard is it? Ok, just think Florida Keys.....
