From east to west try west Hollywood, Beverly Hills, century city, Westwood and Santa Monica.
Not a fan of downtown. LAX (Airport ) the Valley (sfv). Hotels run the gamut from high end luxury and boutique to upscale business chains.

It looks like I will be spending an extended period of time in the greater LA area in the near future and I was wondering something.
If I am interested in outcalls, what hotels or areas are best. I know LA can be difficult to get around in and would like to make a good choice for this.

Neither am I...However, it has definitely been revitalized in last 15 yrs or so with all the development (ie; Staples Center, Nokia Theatre, Grammy Museum, many new restaurants/hotels)...
