go to Greek Islands. It's a sister of the one in Greektown, equally as good, imo.

Hello all, will be visiting next week and I love checking out the local restaurants especially sushi. I hate chain restaurants as I use to travel very heavily for the real job.

I absolutely find it amazing how the same thing taste different in different places, especially raw salmon.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations

Koan grill is great! They also have all day drink specials. It's about a mile west of oak brook on Butterfield road.

There is a place next to DOC wine bar in Lombard right up the street- name escapes me.... Always an option

Further West on Butterfield Rd at Finley, Kyoto in the strip mall.  Amazing sushi!  They even have a flaming sushi that is to die for!

I will be checking these places out. I am limited as my traveling buddy has to have hibachi. It is as close as she will get to sushi. And if she does sushi restaurant, I have to do gyros.

Thanks again

She's not real picky Just love some hibachi! I been several times, I never had gyros until, I made my first visit to Chicago. I will be having some yummy gyros too... I can't wait!!  I love visiting Chicago!!! Happy Dance..

My in call is in Oak Brook and I am there every week and I am always looking for really good authentic food (not fast food).
It doesn't have to be expensive but good! Would love to get all sorts of recommendations for the local area restaurants!
