You are so correct ILOVEWOMEN.
The sizing is complete malarkey!

At BS...I mean VS, I was told I am a 32DDD.  There is not such a size anywhere else.  ;)

Personally, I am normally not a fan of VS Bras, as I do not like padding, or push up.   I simply like lightly lined, "normal" bras.  And, it seems the padding and everything else that makes those bras weigh about 10 lbs. is truly what Victoria's real "secret" is.
 My breasts are large enough, and I don't need them competing with my chin or my lovely blue eyes!   hahaaa  ;~P

Don't believe the VS sizing hype.  
And, as a lady,  if you're unsure of your actual size and plan to purchase lingerie someplace other than VS, have someone without a "magical" tape measure fit you properly at a department or lingerie store.

I had thought I was a 34B!

Until recently, I was shopping at Victoria's Secret for a bunch of new lingerie & while doing so the Sales Associate came up to me & conducted the normal greet. When she asked my sizes I told her, "34B-28-38." Fortunately, she recognized I looked a little more curvier in some areas & measured me right then & there.  

Turns out I am actually a 32D-26-38 & it is a way more comfortable fit! I learned my breast are pretty full.

I know, I have been lazy & should have maybe measured myself but hey! I thought I knew myself better. I guess you can say there is a lot more exploring that needs to be done with my body! ;-) haha

Any other ladies with this kind of experience?

During a Half Yearly and bought four new bras. When she sized me up visually she said maybe a C which floored me, I've always thought I was a B then she took the tape out and measured me. She brought in a D and a C cup bra for me to try. I'm a D cup except demi bras.  

Hey I'll take it, better then the life of tugging and trying to readjust without catching anyone's attention in public. Nothing better than a bra that fits, although I rarely wear them anymore!

I have always been a 34B as well.
I went to Victoria Secret last month and Agent Provocateur to buy some lingerie.
At victoria secret the lady was very pushy with me as far as wanting to measure me.
I finally let her do it and she said I was a 32D as well.
So I am not sure if that is Victoria Secret's thing or what with getting ladies to be measured and then sayingt they are a cup or two bigger.Coincidence I guess.

Anyways I ended up buying a few bra and panties set that were 32D and they fit quite nice but so do my 34B.
So I am thinking I am going to another store and have them size me again I don't trust Victoria Secrets measuring.lol
Funny I always wanted implants and I always said I would love to be a C cup and imagine my surprise when the associate at Victoria Secret said I was a 32D.lol

It probably is a Victoria  Secret thing lol. I was there earlier this month in Dallas and was also told I'm a 32D, which fits nice, but so does 32B and 34B. I will try Nordstrom.

i got remeasured about 3 months ago...for years i was 36-38D, depending on what type of bra...or at least that is what i thought....now that i was remeasured, i can fit a 36DDD or a 38DD, depending type of bra

after having my boobs done I didnt know what size I was so I just assumed DD

but all my VS bras were making me FAINT! yes literally FAINT because I couldnt breath properly I was all squished up

I went to nordstrom got a fitting and discovered im a 32G (though I do have a 28 underbust) - which is also called DDDD
I nearly DIED! I didnt get very big implants just 375 and 325 cc

Sadly Fredericks recently closed ALL their stores nationwide.. onlie sales only now
The carried DDD which worked kind of OK

Now I keep my VS for when I know I'll only be wearing it a few minutes then taking it off ;-)
But I woudnt wear it for anymore than half an hour.
It does give SUPER amazing cleavage but not worth fainting for
