Had a habit of asking all first-time gentlemen, after they walked in the door, and shared a welcoming kiss and hug, what name they preffered to be called during the date. It was a nice touch, and when she then used that name throughtout the date, it showed she meany it as more than an ice-breaker comment. Awesome to hear as she is expressing pleasue/gratitude for a DATY well done , or other activities.

Some of the "defaults"  like babe, dear, sweetie, can cause the opposite-to-the-intended effect depending on what region of the country the guy is from, his age, and personal experience with nicknames/pet names.

Is this important to all guys? No. But for some it may just be that little extra thoughtfullness that would compell them to want to schedulea a follow-up date.

Out of all the lovely women I have had the pleasure of spending time with(some on multiple occasions)-only 1 or 2 have said my name during our time together -I have my name on my P411 profile and/or always mention it during conversations/texts prior to meeting-not that it bothers me but when the few did,it was appreciated & was a major mental turn on(especially during activity)-posted under my alias as not to offend any I have seen now or in the future-just curious

I actually appreciate it when my name is used in our e-mail exchanges, rather than the ubiquitous  "hey there."  I understand that we have to have boundaries, etc., but it is my name, it is perfectly alright to use it.

Yea, 'sweetie', 'babe' etc are sometimes a turnoff. Although, stud is ok......just saying.

They might forget and call you by another name, real mood killer. So "Sweetie" it is.

I like it when they use my name, Sweetie is what my mom called me when I was 6, so it definitely doesn't summon the mood she wants ;)

+1. I've been seeing my 2 favorites monthly for two years and a year and a half respectively. They know my real name and have used it on birthday, thank you and holiday cards but never once in person.

I guess because of my age I much prefer to be called by my name. I recently was being screened and after a couple emails of Sweety, Babe, Hon I said I don't think this is going to be a good fit. When being addressed by my name I usually will see a provider multiple times. It makes me at least feel a connection!

If there is something that would make you enjoy our time together that much more if it was done, just ask! :)
Every single person is different.

Some men love women in jeans, some prefer dresses.
Some men love conversetion, some aren't comfortable with small talk.
Some men prefer the room cooler, some warmer.
Some want music, others silent.
Then you have those who don't care either way.
Then you have those who want the woman to do what she wants..

Just let us know! ;)

"I can't wait for our time together. By the way, I love summer dresses and do you prefer to be called Alyssa? I really like when someone calls me Tom and I also really like when your hand is on my knee."

Anything that you care to share to help make the date go smoother is always appreciated! In fact, it's greatly appreciated!

and for me, whether they call me sweetie, hon, baby, etc, doens't bother me. Now when I first started over a decade ago, I did notice, I was never called by my name.  But  I got over it and since I'm only looking for a temporary GF  it's not a big deal. But you know what, everyone's  different.  If it makes you feel a special, that a provider calls you by your first name, good for you.

...of passion. Using someone's first name is a good way to get them to like you and to feel more at ease with you. Alyssa's suggested etiquette is right on. I can see how a name like DegenerateNX might not roll easily off of a lady's tongue but maybe you have a real name with a softer edge?  ;)

For me, I like being called 'hun' or 'babe', that's OK, but would prefer my true first name or, just call me Daddy...yeah!  :D

you like being called "drummy" lol lol.. still better than chicken wing! ;)

I'm from maryland and we say hon just as much as we eat steamed crabs.
on the "welcome to baltimore" sign people always spray painted "hon." the city would have it removed. eventually they just gave in. it was becoming more expensive then it was worth.

i have kinda taken it out of my vocabulary because i have found people outside of maryland can take offense to it. similar to a southern saying ma'am. i think we should all step back and realize that most people aren't jerks. if someone calls you ma'am, sir, hon, its not saying you are old or anything bad. its being polite, just like please and thank you. :)
