I walked by this show and stood by the doorway for a bit; it was standing room only.  Great show, the two performers were awesome.  Crowd was having a blast.

Visiting LV next week with my ATF (she has never been to your your sinful city), and was wondering if there are some good places to take in live music in an intimate setting near or on the Strip.

Any recommendations?

Two of my faves are:

The Bunkhouse:  http://www.bunkhousedowntown.com/

and

The Velveteen Rabbit:  https://plus.google.com/106251701520911562501/about?gl=us&hl=en

They are closer to downtown, but offer what you seek.  You can check The Bunkhouse for the schedule, and check out The Velveteen Rabbit on FB for their schedule.

Have Fun!!!

Been loving Downtown with it's true uniqueness.

Kind of reminds me of where I went to college where the next big thing could be starting off and you get to see them for $10. REM, Pearl Jam, etc. I remember seeing those guys for $5 back in the day in intimate little places when nobody knew who they were. New talent tends to gravitate to areas where something good is currently going on...

Saw Imagine Dragons in Vegas before anybody knew who they even were and got to see them for free. They are attracting new talent / up and comers that are playing downtown.

Lounge acts are lounge acts, headliners are headliners. That's the strip nowadays. The new talent that might be the next big thing are going to be playing downtown at places such as Samantha suggested and there is nothing better then saying you got to see them before anybody even knew who they were....

There is a cute lounge at The Palazzo  across from The Grande Luxe Cafe that has cool jazz,

At the Mandalay Bay Hotel, just beneath the escalator before you head up to the Luxor walkway.

It's called 1923. A mix of live jazz and burlesque...

Let me know if you want me to join you both!!!! And really welcome her well to Sin City!!!!!!
