Concur on Levitra

I used Viagra for about 5 years and it was effective but it became more difficult to reach orgasm. I tried Ciali's once and lost my erection  in mid session. I tried Levitra  and got the desired effect and more frequent orgasms. (But not 100%) . I discovered what works best for me is to take a half dose one hour before and take the other half on arrival.

Cialis, levitra, viagra.

I'm not going to go into it here.  Maybe seven years ago I wrote a long post about the technical differences between the three drugs.  They are each somewhat different.

Levitra is more popular in europe and it is considered a second generation viagra.  There are trials data that it is more effective for diabetics.  I am diabetic.  I think it is less popular just because it gets less advertising.

Levitra has for years been my go-to first choice.  Most reliable and predictable.  Much less side effects than viagra and less temperamental in terms of timing and food.  Good for twelve hours at least.  Can eat anytime while on it.  Use 10mg without a problem.  Get blue haze at 20mg with no improvement in performance.   Initially I had some flashes with Levitra but my body habituated to it and now there are no side effects.  I call it learning to trust Levitra.

Cialis is my preferred drug when I am going to have a serious extended encounter.  I believe it gives a more natural erection and a more natural orgasm.  Not quite as reliable as Levitra though.  I have to use a full 20mg.  Obviously more expensive.

I have used viagra at 50mg a few times and saw no advantage over Levitra with some drawbacks.

I have to say I don't get why anyone with normal health below say fifty needs these drugs.   I had absolutely no problems with excellent natural performance until nearly sixty.

Sometime we should have the same discussion about testosterone replacement therapy.  Good stuff too !!

Quick survey on what you use (if any :) and what works best.  I've only used Viagra, but curious why  Cialis is not more popular based on their advertised long lasting effect.  Thanks in advance

As between Viagra and Cialis, I found that Viagra gave a larger erection, but made orgasim more difficult. I feel the better orgasim and longer period of effectiveness makes Cialis the choice for me.

I've been a Big Blue guy for quite some time. Cut the 100's in half like most guys because its less expensive to do so. I tried Cialis and Levitra one time each, but to be honest, it was so long ago that I can't remember why I rejected them over Viagra. I think the choice was probably due to the fact that Viagra was the first PED I ever tried, and I didn't see any noticeable benefit with either of the other two. This was before Cialis came out with the "weekend pill" so I can't speak to that. I'm single and without a significant other so I have no need for a "just in case" type pill.

I don't really need PED's yet, and never did. I got my doctor to give me some free samples of Viagra way back when it first came out. I knew him socially as well as professionally, so I didn't have to bullshit him about why I wanted to try them. I can still get a damned good hard-on while watching my preferred porn, but if I popped a Viagra just to jerk off to porn, I'd be a pauper. LOL. Anyway, I only use it when I know I'm going to have sex with a lady. Maybe it's just gives me an extra psychological boost, because I've never gotten a Viagra hard-on 5 minutes after ingestion. For me, it takes 30 to 45 minutes for optimum results. YMMV. As I said, I can get a decent erection without Viagra, but I know the difference between my regular erection and my Viagra erection.

I've never experienced intolerable side effects from Viagra. On occasion I have been aware of some flushing of my face, or some nasal stuffiness. That's about all. Nor does Viagra seem to impede my ability to orgasm. When I book providers, it's almost always for 2 hours. I like to get the first cup in the first half hour. That way, I'm assured a second cup within the time frame of the date without have to rush. When I say the first half hour, remember that on a 2 hour date there will probably be the usual 15 minutes of chit chat getting to know one another. If I have any issue with orgasm, it would be that I come too quickly for the first cup. With Viagra the second cup definitely takes longer, but here again, I don't know if its the Viagra or my normal refractory period? I hardly ever try and jerk off twice in a two hour period, so I don't really have a reliable base line to reference. That's why the thread below about PEDs and anti-depressants was very interesting.

In closing, there's a lot of YMMV in any conversation about PED's. I hope my personal anecdote has been insightful.

I was taking the 20 mg as needed dose. The headaches were more severe and lasted longer compared to Viagra. I take 50 mg (cut the 100 in half). I take it about 5 minutes before the session. It works quickly for me and I don't have the difficulty with orgasm since I stopped taking it an hour before the session. The effects of the Viagra last about 24 hours for me. I once had an hour session with a provider then went to a strip club shortly afterward. I got a bbbj in the Vip room.

Cialis is the one for me. I use the 5mg daily dose and take an extra one when I'm seeing someone. No headaches.

I've tried them all and Viagra consistently gets things where they need to go. I'm comfortable with it but may try the others again because I don't care much for V's side and after effects.

 Hey Bro:

Could you be a little more specific about the side effects you've experienced with Viagra? I've only recently returned to TER and hobbying. I don't waste Viagra in my civvie life, so it's been awhile since I used any of my remaining pills. I hope their shelf life hasn't expired! LOL. Anyway, I need some fresh anecdotal feedback to use as a baseline. I will be seeing a provider within the next couple of weeks. Thanks!

...headache, stuffy nose, backache. I use ibuprofen for the headache, nasal spray at the same time as I take the pill. That takes care of the side effects for me. The backache doesn't happen very often. When it does ibuprofen works for that too. I usually get sensitivity to bright light too. Sunglasses work for that while driving home.

I had the same effects from Cialis but they were more severe.

I agree with most everything xyz posts below. I get flushed, increased heart rate, vision a little foggy, and a little irritable later in the day. All of my side effects are somewhat low level and are more than offset by the benefits during my time with the ladies. I'm not able to have vaginal intercourse without it. However, with more of the gals using the female condom my sensations are very different and I may give that a shot someday without the meds. Have fun!

gives the man adverse reactions or doesn't.  There are some potential side effects for all of them, I think.  Everyone reacts differently based on your metabolism.

Have always used viagra since my mid fifties.  One post questioned whether those under sixty should use it, but I had some difficulty in maintaining an erection if I didn't get a release quickly (blood flow?).  With the use of viagra I was able to not only maintain or sustain an erection but felt like I  was sixteen again.  So, every instance is different and it is not always an age dependent kind of thing.  I do take the half dose and always find some side effects like flushing, sensitivity to light and stuffed nose.  The suggestions on how to deal with some of those have been helpful.  All in all a good discussion!

No, if it was me, I was not trying to be a jerk.  I said that below fifty and healthy it probably doesn't add anything.  Young guys who use it are more likely just feeling a psychological boost. I started using it at 60 when my erections petered out fairly quickly.  Levitra reversed that tendency.  Now I can stay hard a lot longer.  Not like when I was thirty but long enough.

Yes, very good discussion. Thanks to all who answered my query vis-a-vis  their particular side effects and so on. I'm ready to jump back into the fray now. LOL.

I am just catching up on TER posts, so am late to the discussion, but would like to share my experience.  I was a Viagra only fan since they first came on the market.  Like everyone, I suspect, I took a pill about 30 minutes beforehand and I was ready to go.

About a year ago, my doctor put me on Cialis (just 5mg a day) to also help with BPN issues.  I was skeptical, but soon amazed at how well it worked on both issues.

What I have found is that once the 5mg dosage of Cialis entered and stayed in my system, it raised my overall threshold of "erectile function," taking me back to my younger days.  I started thinking that I would just pop in the Viagra as before when the opportunity arose, but found that I didn't need to.  I still have it in case it is needed, but so far so good.

I have to warn you that taking a daily Cialis will run more that an occasional Viagra taken as needed; but I have found a Canadian pharmacy that is considerably -- and I mean considerably -- cheaper than my local drug store without any difference in quality and effect.

Good luck.

But I cut it down to 25 MGS.. the delayed ejaculation can be a side effect if I go much higher.. drives me crazy..

My dr. said do the daily Cialis and 25 mgs. of V when needed. The Cialis is great without the V side effects.

I occasionally use cialis. But mostly I just use maca root. Two capsules a day. Works great for me.
