You all crack me up!  But, some interesting ideas.  Thanks for your suggestions.

In one of the threads, don't remember which one, there was a lot of discussion about the best hobby phone, and I'm thinking I should get one.  Problem is, where to keep the darn thing . . .  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

In a Golf Bag, Gun Case, Gun Safe, Hunting Clothes, that sort of stuff....If you don't Golf or Hunt...What is the point ??!!!

the oven.

(ba-doom)

One thought is to keep it at the office and don't ever bring it home.  Gals have ways of sniffing things out sometimes.

Another option, if the phone is small enough, is to get one of those super magnetic key holder cases that attach under the car.

Also, one of those hollowed out books that people use to hide cash around the house, or the phony food canisters; but both of those could be noted by the misses and arouse her suspicions.

but don't recommend spare tire well...  she'd have your car & get a flat!  There are places inside of furnature...  if drawers are removed say.
Office, gym locker, gym bag, inside car trunk behind carpets.  Some dusty/cobwebby spot in the workshop.  In a bin of old phones, chargers...   what ever must make sense for you.  There are fake containers for home, office, garage...  but most are well known & eventually will be discovered.  Hollowed out books might be good for some but not most.   A bag...  a gym bag, camera bag, golf bag, outdoor sport bag...  that is the twin to one you commonly use...  would arouse no suspicion if glimpsed occasionally.

My spot? I have a pile of old/dead cell phones, chargers, snake pit of cables.  Lowest on the list of places the wife would go to - that I could think of.

Otherwise, off site.  The office might be a risk if you're an employee and you got laid off. If you're the owner, higher possibility of wife coming by.  How John LeCarre do you want to get?

You could get a piece of PVC pipe with screw on end, shrink wrap the phone, go in the woods & dig a vertical hole with a post hole digger to your chosen depth (6'?). She'll never find it, and neither will you!

Always do something to remember where you have hidden your phone as well as your stash !  I went into panic mode a few months ago when I moved my stash and for a few minutes forgot where the new hiding place was !!!!!!!

I have kept phones in tool boxes, in drawers at work, in the trunk of my personal vehicle in a box of odds & ends.

So many people can't bring themselves to actually throw away a phone.  Hiding in plain sight is always best IMHO.

My guess due to a reason many of us are on this board, you should put it where she will never look in your pants.

I think you should separate the phone and the battery altogether.  Keep one part of your hobby phone (maybe) in your tool chest, and the other part in your car, office, or another inconspicuous place.

People keep old phones all the time. Sometimes, the best place to hide it is in plain sight.
