Any information or opinions on Getting a Vaccine for Hepatitis ,I beleive their are several out for the different strains a  b  c....it seams to be a good idea for sex provider as well as customers of providers such as myself...My understanding is that different types of Hepatitis can be spread by uncovered oral .....opinions please

You can get vaccinated for A, currently C does not have one, and is an incurable chronic illness with limited, ineffective treatment options.  Sobering.

Absolutely!!!
I work in the medical field and I am very familar with Hep A, B, C all can be nasty and all can shut your liver down, kidneys, and can even kill you. It all depends on your immune system. I think anyone who travels in the escort/provider circles needs to be vaccinated!!! Hep A&B is a three series shot over 6 months to a year. You can contract all of these( Hep a b c) by---- Urine, ie cunnilings and BJ, also by anal sex, not to mention rimming any other acts.  and by eating contaminated food which can be anywhere, Some experts think it can even be spread by salava( if the person is infected and the disease is active ) REMEMBER--- NONE OF THESE DISEASES ARE CUREABLE, ONCE YOU CONTRACT THEM YOU HAVE THEM FOR LIFE---ONLY THE SYMPTOMS CAN BE TREATED?? You do not need any reason to be vacinated, just go to your Doctor and ask for the vaccination, tell him/her you are going to mexico on vacation??
MY 2 cents

Yes, I agree with you it is a very good idea to get vaccinated. Although there is no vaccine for C but it is important to get A & B. My doctor asked me why I wanted "A" (I believe thats the one) which they normally do not do unless asked. I just said I was going out of the country and want to be protected. Or you can say your job requires you to get one.  Chrissy

I think it's great to be honest and open. Some members in my family know about what I do, so what lol :) As long as I am safe, taking care of my health (which I am at the doctor's for regular check up's, shots, etc), that is all that matters. My doctor hasn't asked, and I haven't volunteered, either. But if she should ask, I will openly admit to it. Doctor's are not here to judge :)

yea I had to be honest with my friends and family as well and i decided to change to Fenway Health because they are use to dealing with sex providors so they aren't like shocked and are very honest with the information they dispense.
