I usually spend between $250 - $300 for an hour with an escort about once a month. For the most part I'm happy with the experience. Been thinking about staying away from the hobby for a month or so to save up for a $400 - $500 experience.
Question, is the more you pay (sometimes) the more it's worth?
I doubt you'll see much variation in the talent at that level, in fact, there are plenty of ROBs among them and you may be only trading good for bad or maybe worse. Now, if you do decide, one thing you might find will be a more consistent experience time to time. If you fail to do your homework, you'll be that much broker and a hellava lot madder. As I am fond of saying, value and price are different things. When you truly learn the difference, you might find that you've already had it.
My experience has been that with the more expensive women I have seen the session has been less entertaining, and less "good" than with the less expensive women I have met. In fact I have met a couple of UTR women who charge me around $ and give me a better session than someone charging me three times more.
In this business, price does not equal quality in my experience.
Of course, you will get more "beautiful" women for the more money, but will it be a better session? Since I prefer attitude over beauty, it will not be for me.
provide better service. The wisest move is to do your TER homework on a slightly higher price point than you are accustomed to. Find one with looks that turn you on, and make sure she has great performance reviews too (BBBJTCCIM, MSOG), Greek is always nice.
I've seen $350/hour providers, and had a good time, but the best lady I ever saw only took $175 for an hour, including EVERY thing in the book. Cost does not equate to quality in this market.
There are some similarities between wine and women. For example, if you "upgrade" from $25/bottle to $30, you won't see much difference. However, if you upgrade from $5 to $30, you will!
On the other hand, with wine, the oldest ones are most expensive. Go figure!

I made a New Years resolution not to pay more than $200 in 2006, and so far this year I've had three great sessions
Do yourself a huge favor. Spend the $500.00 and see Sarah. I seriously doubt that anyone who has will argue that she isn`t worth every penny and then some. They don`t come any finer.

First, ask yourself what you're looking to get out of a date that you aren't getting now. Then, search for it without putting a price in the selection criteria. Be more diligent in your research, and you'll most likely find what you're looking for. And MAYBE you'll need to spend more to get it. I've had good times at various price points. $400/hr isn't out of line where I live, and my best 2 experiences have been with $500 girls, but there've been others at the lower end that were just fine as well.

I've got an ATF at an AMP who costs me 150 dollars. That means instead of paying 5 hundred dollars once a month, you can have fun every week! Of course, as everyone here will tell you, AMP's are hit and miss, but if you're lucky enough to find a great girl, you'll have the bargain of your life.
First, ask what you're looking for. For me, that's not at an AMP. Nothing wrong with it, but I'm looking for more. I have a connection with my ATF, and that's why she's got that status. I don't care what her rates are.

This topic is incredibly subjective. I have my own standards and for me, it's simple: attitude & quality. I never have more than 1 appt per day, let alone have back to back appts. I think some of the comments made here are blanket generalizations...very similar to the generalization that quality Philly providers are hard to find. I do NOT agree that if one pays more, you may see someone more attractive but have a less quality experience. There are too many variables to make that statement accurate. There are the hobbyists' expectations... the provider's work ethic, attitude and maturity level. All should be taken into consideration and researched. It's a lot of money...use it wisely. JMO!
I've found the one aspect of any personal service I use is my unique expectations of that experience before actually using the service. This idea has held true in attorneys, accountants, hair stylists and yes, courtesans.
If those expectations are surpassed to the point of WOW! That relative opinion is extolled to every one that will listen on TER.
Rather that shop by price perhaps it would be better to shop by attitude and performance. Here a hobbyist can zero in on performance with greater perspective than on the person that cuts your hair your teeth!
Simply paying an extra $100.00, alone, will assure the hobbyist of little more than a more expensive experience.
Perhaps shop within your means for the best attitude and service offerings will do more for the OP and then tip heavily when your expectations are surpassed!

is what you want, go for it. There are plenty of ladies to choose from in all price ranges. I am a more "pricier" lady so I spend more time and effort to make a new friend happy as he is giving a higher donation than what a lot girl's ask for, but that is just me. Some girls don't care. If you go into a session, and BECAUSE you are paying $$$$, and you expect a 33% increase in performance I suspect that you will be sorely disappointed. Why, because you will be remembering your best $$$ of $$1/2 session and making the comparison to that.
Another way to think about this - is you yourself say that it takes you ~ 1 month to accumulate the funds for a session, will this now reduce your frequency of hobbying and also raise your expectations beyond reality?
I have paid more for a PS! but just meeting her was the concept - not that she would do something that others could or would not. What is the reason for the change? I am willing to spend extra if the lady is to my interest! but not just because I expect something that is not likely to happen - ie a stronger experience...
a session is worth what you pay for it - believe it or not.... but from an attitude - unless you are willing to make that mental adjustment - you will have a problem. as others have suggested.... research research research and if (IF read IF or only if) the lady in question meets your criteria for a session should you consider - but do not see a lady expecting stuff that is not in evidence...

and it is clear you hobby mostly in the NYC area. So 400 to 500 is not out of line as compared to many of the answers you are getting from people who see providers in areas that are listed as OTHER! I am not being a snob here...but price is not only relative to looks or performance, but also location. This said, there are lovely provides at the 350 to 400 mark and even some for less. USE TER search and you will find what you want.
