I'm inclined to think that the adult entertainment industry may have more than it's share of people with emotional issues. So, sadly, it's not all that surprising to see a higher than average rate of suicide amongst their ranks. I have to think that their involvement in the adult industry only makes their problems worse and may put them at an increased risk for self-destructive behavior.
It's frankly one of my biggest concerns even being an occasional participant in this hobby. I don't want to be an enabler for some who is already on the ropes emotionally. It would be better for them to get help and not hide on the fringes of society.
As one who has had a relative commit suicide, I really feel for these people and their families.

I guess the enviroment they live is destructive. Is very very different from my "world". I love sex but I would never "waste" myself for it.

One of, if not the strongest natural human drive’s is to copulate. Orthodox religious dogmas (designed obviously to engineer and control society) have done a great job at proliferating guilt and shame for following that instinct. If a gal is predisposed to sex she is early on labeled a slut, a guy a Satyr or lecher. Dare either sex use their innate instincts to profit by prostitution or porn they will stand to be publicly vilified, demonized, castigated and made a pariah (quite often by the same people who pay for their services and or porno offerings). The many tortured souls who have so sadly pulled their own pin for their “imbalance” may well have not ever gotten near that point of desperation if not for the shear societal hypocrisy causing this imbalance.

I read an article on the web by a current male porn star, and he said that most of these people live fast lives, with a lot of drug use. This guy said they make OK money but they don't plan for life after porn so are frequently doing worse than the average person. He said only a few make 100K or more a year, so I imagine they make less than escorts on average. And that unstable environment is tough. But people also die of these things in any type of work.
