If I find an instructor, I'll PM you. Thanks

Might a professional or well experienced model/provider  photographer who is familiar with digital Nikon be available to offer me one or two lessons? For a fee of course! I am  an old school Nikon F3 & F5 user and recently entered the 21 Century and purchased a Nikon D800.  Read the directions and had some help from a friend, but my first digital experience is not going well.  I estimate I will need about 2 one hour sessions. Providers looking for a few new pic’s can also get back to me and if there are any good shots, they will be free. Just need some help. Post or PM me with prices and we can go from there. Thank you in advance for any and all help

I guess the first question. Do you know much about how the camera works?  It doesn't matter if you have a Nikon or canon if you don't know what the settings do.  ISO, shutter, aperture etc.... What are you trying to do with it?

I understand the basics from working with a manual camera, but it appears that I am overwhelmed with all the  options available with digital. So perhaps a session reviewing the options  - such as shooting Tiff vs RAW  and  then perhaps assisting me with preparation for model shooting instead of landscape. Can you assist?

D800 is a great camera.  I am very well versed with the full frame Nikons. But you are right, its not a point and shoot.

if I understand your request, you have the basics of photography down just don't know your way around the Nikon D800?  Also, you are interested in how to do a model shoot specifically?

I will be in town all next week (march 9 through 14) and I will be doing several model shoots myself so I will even have my portable lighting setup with me.  If you are interested in learning your D800, we can set something up.

if there are any providers out there that want to join our makeshift class for some free professional photos, let me know
