Great BBQ

I have now been a Texan for all of 3 weeks and have eaten at two great places so far. One is Cousin's BBQ in Burleson on Crowley Rd. The other is Riscky's BBQ on Exchange in the Fort Worth Stockyards. I have also been told to check out Vitek's BBQ in Waco to try their Gut Pak. It is a fancy and rather large Frito pie.

Good luck in your search and hopefully this was helpful for you Rodeo9112.

So, if I'm gonna be in Texas for six weeks, I reckon I can find more than my fill of BBQ joints worth writin' home about.  Any suggestions for places within the Dallas-Ft Worth metroplex for weekday suppers and within a couple hours drive for the weekends?

Thanks.

Good info! Thanks.  Hopefully others will contribute as well.

Stanley's in Tyler and Lockhart Smokehouse in the Bishop Arts District have some good BBQ and of course Franklin's in Austin is awesome!.
