Same as "411" "Info," etc. From old Army General Staff designations, G-1 Personnel, G-2 INTELLIGENCE, G-3 Operations, G-4 Logistics. I think they've added some since then, unfortunately. Gotta have more staff officers, fer God's sake. . . .
