I just found this discussion and felt compelled to respond. My name is Faith and I'm the "hottie" mentioned here. I realize my rates are higher than most indies. I have had a very successful career and just started working for myself. While I was with an agency my rates were almost double the price I'm now asking. Believe it or not, I stay fairly busy(or as busy as I would like to be). My rates are truely not reflective of ego, but more a desire to remain exclusive for a select clientele. When I'm with someone, he is the only one on my mind and my time, body, and mind are completely his. I would hope to make you part of that clientele!

I know where, and what you mean, I've been there. It totally sucks to go from there to here. I have been considering going back.
Don't let anyone's opinion, jolt you one way or the other. Have they walked where we've walked, ...huh, NO! WE are in the business of knowing men, some Hobbiest's see this as a SWAP MEET, looking for a,"What's on sale, girl".
It's just a different level of thinking. Not that one is better than another, but I think you get what I'm saying. You know your life, and what a waste of your time is, others don't...
