I don't have children. Sometimes that makes me sad and this is One of those things that makes me happy that I don't.

I witnessed plenty of BS during my college years and the way I see young men behave toward young girls today is disgusting for the most part. If I ever hear my son speak to a female the way most young men do these days, I'll wash his mouth out with soap right on the spot.
Young people have gotten way out of hand when it comes to respecting others and it's time to get them back on a good path. This starts at home with parents who know how to treat others in a respectful manner and instill this in their children.
Wake up America, our kids are fucking up in a big way. Just look at the elementary students who are dying on a regular basis...did you have to worry about your school getting shot up while you were growing up? I didn't, and it makes me sick to my stomach that my kids have to learn how to hide from a shooter in a Kindergarten classroom.

The typically quoted statistic is that 1 in 5 college women are raped during their student careers.
According to the survey, the actual rate of rapes on campuses is 6.1 rapes per 1,000 women. This equates to 1 in 164 or 0.61%.
The rate of rapes for non-students of the same age cohort is 1.2 times greater (7.6 per 1,000 versus 6.1 per 1,000) than students. This means that women are in fact safer on college campuses than off.
Any rapist deserves to be castrated, but playing fast and loose with the facts is going to do substantial damage to the campus experience for both men and women. The kangaroo courts being setup by the Education Department under Title IX will destroy the lives of innocent young men.

I have followed false accusations of rape since following the Durham-in-Wonderland blog regarding the Duke Lacrosse case. In that instance, a stripper falsely accused three players of rape at a team party. The players were ultimately declared innocent and the prosecutor disbarred.
One statistic that appeared in the blog really caught my eye. Duke University has a total enrollment of about 14,000 with more than ½ of enrollment being women. Some professors have claimed that up to 30% of women are raped during their academic careers. For perspective, that means that the instances of sexual assault at Duke are greater than the instances of all violent (rape, murder and assault) crime in the city of Detroit. This is the absolute number of instances not the instances per unit of population. Detroit has a population of 717,000 and hardly enjoys a reputation as a crime free zone.
The “hot button” for me on this issue is the Dept. of Education foisting kangaroo courts onto colleges. Colleges will be obligated to determine the guilt or innocence of a male student accused by a female student of sexually assault even in those instances where (i) no police report was filed, (ii) police report was filed, but prosecutors found insufficient evidence to charge, (iii) police report was filed and found to be demonstrably false and (iv) police report was withdrawn. Rape is a crime and a police matter. Colleges should not be determining the guilt or innocence of a criminal matter.
If all men are rapists, castrate them all. But form opinions based on facts, not propaganda.
Lastly, I do get your “dig” regarding vested interest. It is not at all unusual for someone who disagrees with an argument, but is unable to attack the substance of an argument; to attack the person making the argument. Disappointing, but not unusual
