They need to separate the issue of sexual slavery from the issue of prostitution and stop trying to say that one is the same as the other.
They can't supress trafficking as part of an effort to stop prostitution. Their efforts will be too spread out then. They can supress slavery and trafficking if they concentrate efforts and resource on it.
There have been efforts that cracked down on clients (johns) before. It's throwing money down a rat hole. They are not going to stop prostitution generally, any more than they are going to stop sex.
If you ever get arrested as an independent or a client of an independent, just remind yourself that they got you instead of busting some slave trafficker or rescuing a 14-year-old from captivity.
Good points Zin'. It's just another way to placate the moralists with arrest/conviction statistics and make some easy money by again focusing on those least likely to fight back. God forbid they risk their LE automata on legitimate threats to society.

i read that this morning and was like WTF and then came to share it with all of you but you guys beat me to the punch. The slavers kidnap young girls and force them into prostitution. It is a brutal, subhuman practice. Like any form of slavery, it undercuts the prices of the consenting adult prostitutes.

Maybe it's time for a universal draft, one that would include women and Republicans, so they could see what a real problem feels like.

So the answer is to LEGALIZE sexual service between consenting adults. You will cut down on crime, transmission of disease and free up LE forces to go after muderers, muggers and rapists instead.
