Actually, I agree. Christmas has become such a retail & marketing frenzy. I guess we just need to spend time with our families and appreciate what life have given us.

Christmas time is here by-golly
Disapproval would be folly
Deck the halls with hunks of holly
Fill the cup and don’t say when
Kill the turkeys, ducks and chickens
Mix the punch and drag out the Dickens
Even though the prospect sickens
Brother here we go again.
For at Christmas time you can’t get sore
Your fellow man you must adore
It’s all the reason to rob him more
The other three hundred and sixty four
Relations sparing no expens’el
Buys some useless old utensil
Or a matching pen and pencil
Just the thing I need...How Nice
It doesn’t matter how sincere it
Or how heart-felt the spirit
Sentiment will not endear it
What’s important is… the price.
Hark! The Harold Tribune rings advertising wondrous things.
God rest ye merry merchants now, ye make the ule tide PAY
Angels we have heard on high…Tell us to go out & BUY
SO
Let those raucous sleigh bells jingle
Hail our dear o’l friend Kris Kringle
Driving his reindeer across the sky
Don’t stand underneath when they...fly.. by.

Use it as an opportunity to squeeze that last cent out of the poor in the name of holiday cheer. Sorry, spending too much time with a favorite lady friend that brings out the ruthless capitalist in me. But I donate all of the proceeds to my favorite charity...her!
