My computer crashed and I had to reinstall everything, which deleted everything I had.

If you have any idea in the world how to recover things on a computer when you have to reinstall the operating system and applications, please let me know. I'm fairly knowledgeable of computers and applications so this will be something complicated. I have done a search for files that I know were on there and I cannot find them. What was on my D: drive is still present. It is only what was on my C: drive that was overwritten.

Your help is greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance for your consideration.

Love, Me

There may be a way to recover some or all of the data you lost, but DON'T reinstall the operating system, you may just overwrite the sectors that has the info you need.  Hopefully a client of yours has some expertise in this area and can help to save you from embarassment ("Yes, we WERE able to recover all the data.  We just want to know who this Joe guy is from Chicago that likes to have a large blue dildo shoved up his keister......")

Someone with knowledge can probably find a way to access the data as most deleted data usually has to be overwritten several times to be totally erased -- (LE loves the fact that c:\del *.* DOESN'T erase everything on the drive... it just modifies the directory structure to ignore those sectors and make them available to be overwritten by new data......)
