I was just in there last week. Definitely  does not look like the old Sahara. Nice decent rooms. They do have security at the elevators.

Anyone been to the "new" SLS yet?  Any info on the rooms, the service and the security would be great

thank

I was just in there last week. Definitely  does not look like the old Sahara. Nice decent rooms. They do have security at the elevators.

Rooms are beautiful & modern designs.  The service was just ok and there was security at the elevators checking for room keys (it was a Sunday evening).  I give it a 3.5/

I stayed there last month.......mixed feelings.   While the rooms and service were quite nice, the overall feel and certain things stuck out that didn't really impress me.   Valet area was pretty dirty....spilled soda, trash, etc.   Not something you would expect from a hotel that "just opened" and is trying to impress guests to come back.   The rooms were nice and clean, haha but there was an odd picture that looked like a crowd at a concert......directly behind your bed.    Hahaha, everytime you walk towards the bed, you just see a ton of people looking at you.   The monkeys......weird?!?   But, I did have a great pizza at 800 degrees if that means anything to anybody....lol.   And yes, they check room keys at the elevators.

It is very different from the old Sahara. Didn't love the rooms. Very industrial and small. Security at the elevators.

Unfortunately I didn't get to sample, but I've been to 2 of Jose Andres' restaurants and they were both great experiences.   I'm hoping to try it out in November when I'm back in Vegas

I've posted this info before, but always bears repeating.  A lot of people post hotel reviews on YouTube that can give you a good idea of the different room types.  Here's one from SLS . . . .

Rooms are a bit on the small side, but fairly slick and modern looking. Yes, there is Security at the elevators checking keys- but I found it to be a bit hit or miss during the day.  There is a bar (Monkey Bar) and café (Perq) right in the lobby easily accessed from the rear entrance which are a great place to meet any new friends you plan on making in Vegas.

Griddle Café makes a mean pancake too.
