I have to agree. I went through your reviews as well and I think that maybe you didn't do the best research. I'm not sure what Indies you've seen but the ones I know are hella reliable.

I'm sorry you've had a streak of bad luck.

With the recent prevalence of flakiness and NCNS among independent providers, I've decided to start procuring providers through an agency. But seeing that I've never gone through an agency before, I'm kind of skeptical as to whether this would actually work. And so I'm asking those who have used an agency before to kind of weigh in on whether you find that agency girls are more, less, or equally reliable as an indie provider. And also, do you find that agency girls are more, less or equally expensive as indie girls, and to what degree if so?

you might wonder if it's you and not the service provider (agency or indie). Do you not do good research of are you just really demanding and critical?

So it doesn't really matter if you go indie or agency if you constantly go for cheap providers who have little to no reviews.

the owner of their business. Agency ladies may or may not be somewhat overworked sometimes seeing 6+clients in a day.

On the other hand, as long as you see well-reviewed ladies, it will really not matter. If you go for the bottom feeders, then you will find minimal success.

but I prefer to see independents because of other concerns. As far as donation is concerned, I have not noticed if one is more or less expensive.

I am starting to have a very strong preference for agencies.  They seem far more reliable and do a decent job with quality control.  After all, many of the independents attempted to work for agencies, but were denied entrance.  I have just met too many flaky girls (all independents) and had too many experiences where you drive to a location and then text or call only to hear ... chirp, chirp, nothing.  More often than not, that happens because the girl receives multiple texts, is unsure whether or not a guy is going to show up, so she gives a location (such as a mall) to multiple guys.  Then, first come, first served.  Agencies, by contrast, have a reputation and standards to uphold, so they don't mess around.  Many independents can simply change their phone numbers.

Many independents are former agency girls who got sick of giving a cut of their pay.  I have been in two different agencies and have been offered to join a couple more as an independent but declined.  Take a look at the agency profiles on TER sometime and you will see they have a pretty high turnover rate. It's silly to assume providers are independents because they couldn't get into an agency.

I agree that there is a lot of turnover at agencies and that girls leave agencies for a variety of reasons: some leave because they don't like the agency taking their cut and others leave because they don't like management's approach (which could mean a lot of different things).  I will clarify my point(s)/thought(s):

1) If you drill down and look at most of the girls who have reviews under the umbrella of an agency, then generally speaking (at least for agencies in the DC area), the range of reviews for the girls is reasonably tight (maybe ~ 7.5 to ~8.9).  Compare that to the average girl on backpage or even this site where the reviews are all over the place.
2) It has been my experience that agencies (at least the good ones) genuinely care that the customer was satisfied.  Often times, immediately after the encounter an agency will text me to ensure that I had a quality experience.  That seems to translate to the girls they employ really caring about the experience.  Rarely have I had an independent do the same (text me afterwards to ensure that I had a quality experience).
3) Independents value their independence and flexibility of scheduling.  Based on my  experience, though, independents are far more likely to cancel or reschedule an appointment last minute, not be ready at the scheduled time, and/or be more aggressive.  I'm all for empowerment, but I suspect that some women may behave differently when they know that an agency is following-up with clients and ensuring that they are pleased with the experience.
4) If an independent gets a bad review, it is very easy for them to simply create a new profile and obtain a new phone number.  That doesn't happen with agencies.  Many of them value their brand (some independents do, too, obviously) and it is too burdensome for an established agency to start from scratch.
5) Your experience is an anomaly in the whole scheme of things.  Consider that maybe (best guess) 75-80% of girls have average TER scores below the range given in #1 above.  In other words, probably 75-80% of the ladies reviewed couldn't get into an agency (assuming that they wanted to join one).  As for the other 20-25%, maybe 1/3 once worked for an agency, but left for one or more valid reasons.

Obviously there are fantastic independents and agency girls.  Both routes can lead to gems.  And obviously I am making several generalizations.  These generalizations just underscore the importance of doing your homework.

Agencies in major cities are different as they can afford to be pickier with the larger population.  I'll respond in the same orderly way you responded to me.

1) At a certain price range agency girls will likely have better reviews than an independent.  Why?  They are new to the same game and most agencies will give them a rate lower than what they could charge to amp up the volume.  I've seen this with a lot of agencies that have beautiful foreign women.  Agencies keep a tight rein on these ladies and the ladies don't know any better because they are new or foreign or both. Also I know of agency owners who will give discounts on the DL to clients who give good reviews.  I've seen it before.

2)Agencies want to make sure the provider they hired performed in a way that upholds their image and I imagine if you were dissatisfied they would likely offer you a discount the next time around with a different provider.  Independents don't text because we sincerely doubt you will tell us personally if you had a bad time.  We also figure that you are married and don't want to get you in trouble.

3) Like I said above agencies keep a tight rein on providers in what ever away.  An agency girl can't afford to piss off the owner when it means she will be let go and have no source of income.  Independents at a higher rate are better in terms of responsibility.  Speaking for myself personally...I usually never cancel last minute and I'm on time and not aggressive.

4) Its not easy to change your name and number.  You pretty much start from scratch again and someone always ends up recognizing you and the review profiles are linked.  I've thought about changing my name...not to get away from bad reviews but to just have a name I like better but I wouldn't risk it.  This behavior isn't normal for Independents who aren't running some kind of scam.

5)  I pretty much explained this in (1) but if you aren't in a major metropolis than it's easier to get into an agency.  My review scores are ok I guess (though do fit in your agency scale) but I was invited to join a major agency in NC called Sexy by Raven that was pretty popular.  I declined because as you said us independents like our freedom.

Also...this is a big one I didn't think of until writing this.  It's pretty easy for anyone to post an ad on backpage and get some reviews.  There is no vetting process like there is with an agency.  I suspect the amount of independents greatly outnumbers the amount of agency girls for this reason.  A better way to determine would be to take all the women from 7.5 up and determine the percentage of agency girls vs. Independents .
