Hey Maddy I had no idea from our previous conversation that you were so new.
I'm here on the newbie board too trying to impart my two months of experience to those guys like me ;)

I should definitely pre-book for you trip to DC.
And if that duo with Jane happens the more the merrier ;)

Hi all. I wanted to introduce myself. The name is Sophie and I'm super new to the business (haven't even booked my first client yet). I'm still trying to figure out the ins and outs and do things like set up a page, figure out the best way to have clients contact me that doesn't involve me giving away my real number, pricing, and other things that I'm sure I'm not even aware of yet.

So if anyone has any advice for a new woman in the business. I'm 26, BBW, and a woc.

All the info you are curious about or have questions for...usually can be searched for....I'm new to the forums so still learning how they function. As for phone get a pinger number like textfree or talknow. Create a unique email and webpage and build off that. I used to advertise on a local page and it was terrible but had a nice gentlemen I saw that gave me my first review on here. Once you have your first review it will be better but don't expect much until then. It took almost 3months for my first review to be placed. Don't get discouraged and just remember quality counts here. As for pricing I looked at alot of girls pages...everyone is very different. My price point is 300 an hour and that works for me. I would also like to point out something that has always been a huge plus for me. Staying sober and level headed during an appointment.
I've been on the boards trying to get to know people and ask lots of questions or ask for guidance. Everyone has a their way of doing things, just have to find what works best for you.
*don't do anything you aren't comfortable with or don't enjoy. It will show.

Since there is already a Sophie Marie on TER. (See link below) I wouldn't suggest that if you were already established, but since you are brand new, you can still start out with a different name so your reviews don't get mixed up with somebody else.

Other than that, read the first thread at the top of the page. It is known as the TER Instruction Manual, aka the newbie manual, aka the Self Help Center.  Read all of it. There is a lot of good info for both providers and hobbyists. There is info about TER, and info about the hobby in general. After that, read back a few pages on this newbie board. You will find that several new providers had the same questions, in various threads below. Introduce yourself on your local board. Post an ad on your TER ad board (see the Provider Ad Posting Guidelines in the Instruction Manual.)

If you have more questions, this is the place to ask.
Welcome and Good Luck! :)
