Has anyone ever tried one of these? Let's assume I get along with the provider and standard sessions have all been worth it. Let's also say I'm not as interested in seeing a variety of providers as I used to be.
What are the advantages and drawbacks to, say, monthly or longer deals? Do they tend to be worth it? Has anyone regretted it deeply?

I see a lot of gals very long term, but not exclusively, nor very frequently, more like every couple of months if I can swing it. I like how this works out just fine.

It makes sense for both but am not sure how you would even word that to her.
Make sure you trust her to get the money upfront and not rip you off. It would make no sense for her to wait for the money (ie you give the money to her each time) or trust that it wasn't a scam to get less and for you not to honor it, not see her multiple times. You got to look at both sides of the coin on this one. Your word should be your bond, but too many don't.
Make sure it is already someone you trust btw.

What you are describing is a hooker with a discounted rate for a regular, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with this type of arrangement if BOTH parties are happy with it. The guy gets a better rate and the woman get guaranteed income, win-win if both parties are ok with it and hopefully at least "like" each other's company.
At $1,200 a month, unless the girl is a college student just looking for some spending cash, the chances of exclusivity are pretty remote, but the good news for the OP is that he is not seeking an exclusive arrangement, just a more affordable one.
Typically, "negotiating" with hookers in this country is not well received, but this is one of the exceptions to the rule. Something along the lines of "I really enjoy seeing you, would you consider coming up with a rate for me if I were to promise to see you xxx number of times each month?"
Of course I got to know both girls before such an agreement was struck. One was my "art school type" who was a hooker that we worked out a LTR and the other was a college SB that ran for about 4 months last winter/spring.
In addition to what would work out to an hourly rate of less than $100, there are several other positives. Many things listed as a no go menu wise, ten to dissolve with enough time and trust together.
