Alternative forms of verification---suggestions?

Hi All,

I've been a Hobbyist for about 2 years then took a break for a little more than a year before dipping my "toe" back into the pool at the beginning of this year.

There's a Provider who was referred to me via e-mail from a friend of one of the first Providers I ever saw. Anyhow, we have been communicating back and forth by e-mail over the last couple weeks, and got to the point of setting up a date.

She asked for verification. I gave her my TER username and ID and added that I had been White Listed.

She asked for a Facebook or LinkedIn screenshot, which I politely declined because I'm uncomfortable with forwarding that info. She explained that she needed some other form of verification because my last referral was more than a year old and was open to any other suggestions.

I've looked through this and the General and (even) Newbie message boards for ideas and generally get the sense that the options are P411 or Date Check (suggested mainly by Hobbyists) or government ID or job verification (suggested mainly by Providers). With the former, I think you have to get a Provider to vouch for you (you see the Catch-22 with this current situation) and the latter, I'm just not comfortable  providing.

So, I'm throwing it out to the members for any other suggestions. One idea (probably unrealistic) would be to meet informally for coffee beforehand. Although, at heart I'm an optimist, I'm guessing odds are that this date isn't going to work out.

But, any suggestions would be helpful and most welcome!

Thanks!

You can fill out your P411 stuff and have them contact the gals who you've seen in the past. I do not think Gina requires the  references to be recent. It's always worth a try. With the amount of reviews you do have, that should matter. Otherwise go see another gal who will work with you and then use her as a reference.

Every girl's policy is different. Ask her how you can get approved to see her, given your circumstances. She might be willing to work with you. Plus, you already had a referral from one of the gals. hm.

That's just one verification option, and you can get a free 6 month membership if you have providers vouch for you. I suggest you read the P411 sign-up page to see if one of the other verification options is acceptable.

Another option is to find another reviewed provider who's newbie friendly (some advertise as such), see her, and ask for a reference. You might have to do that more than once if the provider you want to see requires multiple references.

P411 would be faster, simpler, and cost a lot less.

Thanks, Alexandra and NoYellowEnvelope.

P411 sounds like the most likely course of action.

Thanks, MILFCARESSA. I'm in NYC. But, if I ever make it down to D.C. or you make it to the Big Apple we should look each other up!

JeffDogger, yes, this is a hobby of mutual vulnerability. So, I definitely did not think any less of that Provider  who was hesitant about accepting my refs because they were more than 1 year old. We ended up agreeing that I would try to get verified through P411 and to meet up at a later date.

tool for advertising... but not the ONLY way to screen. Many times I asked for additional information added to the p411 ID.
Many crazies in p411 and everyone else, my safety is a priority.

who are willing to give you a chance to meet and refresh your reviews to current dates...also maybe one of your previously seen ladies to spruce up your profile and even refer you to P411

Just some growing pains and you will be back on track to a sexy hobby again!  Not sure where you are, but feel free to hit me up.  I am 100% real woman and happy to be flexible when I can.

As Veronica alludes to, is that this community is one of inherent mutual vulnerability.  Once you see things from the providers' viewpoint, you may see that requests for verification of identity are usually very reasonable.  I have provided a LinkedIn profile despite having a sensitive job, because I am confident a smart and reputable provider (the only kind I want to see BTW) is very unlikely to risk her reputation by untoward behavior with that information. I am risking my career. They are risking much more by seeing someone they know nothing about.

friends/clients :)

Some girls out there may have only the best of intentions, and want to know as much as possible.  If you are one of them then kudos to you.  But there is a reason for discretion.  The thread below was started by a very reputable and high ranking TER provider.  Now we can go through and endless amount of buts, but he no showed, but he didn't do this or that.  None are reasons for a provider to use a clients personal info against him.  Bottom line is if you're a hobbyist, then whatever the case may be, you have something to lose.  Whether that be family, job, friends, a house, etc.  Very few are "out" and therefore there isn't much that will affect them.  Giving out personal info is as dangerous as a provider not screening in the first place.

Long before some of you heard about or were active on TER there was a provider who attacked clients relentlessly.  Some of you know who I am talking about and some may not.  If your referrals are old on TER, then get P411 (if your Okays are old then contact the lady and ask for a update).  If you believe that a clients P411 is fake, present the right evidence and Gina will take care of it.  One should never have to give up their identity or personal info in order to see someone.

you link isn't working.
You think that me, as a provider have nothing to loose, I do have a career, a family that depends on me, I do have a life and not always into a "Veronica bubble". how many guys out there have killed, raped, girls... bc they don't screen well.

But to each their own.

At this point it's like a cat chasing its tail in circles.  You have your way and others have theirs. I'm sure there are plenty of clients who have no problem giving out their personal identifiable information or social media accounts. I don't think I said you had nothing to lose. The theme or original point of the thread was alternate forms of verification. And the answer from me to the OP is P411.  If a provider can't verify that I am safe by my 10 plus Okays and still needs a LinkedIn or job ID then that's not a lady that I'm going to see. The link is to a thread on the main page where a well known TER provider said that she has used personal information to blackmail and scare clients to include photos from the outside of his house. So to the OP I would say no to giving a person access their personal information.

Should you want to read or take a look at the link just copy and paste it or look at it on the General Discussion board.
