And definitely ask TER For sure. You can scroll to the bottom of any page, click on contact us, and then ask them about the post that was deleted. It won't take you long to learn the rules. It certainly can seem at the beginning that they are singling you out, but they aren't.   They might have noticed that you are not aware of what the rules are and they might be watching your posts more closely, but once you follow the rules they will leave your posts alone.

Do you know how to go to "my TER", then look on the left-hand side of the page to find "my board posts", or something very much like that?  You can look there to see which of your posts are active and which ones have been removed and why. Usually the reason why he is quite generic and hard to figure out exactly what you did wrong, that's why you might need to contact TER to ask specifically what you did wrong. They will tell you.

So, a lot of the random stuff I post only lasts an hour due to "flagged for removal, appears to be an ad." posts such as rambling about Seattle personalities about town, obvious not ad stuff.
Weeeeell, I just posted an ad in Seattle- it was "flagged for removal, appears to be an ad". In the Seattle ad's forum.
So- is this TER doing this, or does someone have to complain/report/flag me for my stuff to be removed like this?

I'm not sure about the ad board thing, but on other boards, you can not link to your site IF yours is the first post of a thread.

yeah, I follow the not linking on forums thing, it's just sometimes it's ridiculous as I got to repost my stuff so much.
I actually did contact ter, and the 3rd time I tried posting an ad in the ad forum it didn't get "flagged for removal, appears to be an ad" so maybe it helped.

Other Providers have posted recently about having trouble getting their ads posted. One was flagged for not having TER links on her website that were clearly there; she switched to using her TER Profile as the link and that got rejected also. A some others.

One theory is that there New Moderators at TER who are making mistakes. Another theory is that there are problems with the new planned rollout. Another theory is that TER headquarters replaced the candy snack jar with magic mushrooms.

Clearly I don't place ads but I have had post (once or twice) rejected and a review return for edit. They always included a bit more information about what TER did not like. Maybe it's obvious to them what they see it looking like as an ad.

Then again, I heard someone else -- not a provider -- report a similar issue so perhaps TER is playing with some AIish type of process that will screen posts the cut the load on the admins and moderators.
