I need reviews to see clients ....but clients won't see me since I don't have any.....honestly how does this even work  !??

The clients who see you without reviews "take one for the team," as we say.

... if no one has volunteered yet is, if you know another provider in your area, ask her if she'd refer a trusted client to you--someone who gives fair reviews.  That reduces the risk for both of you. Once you get that first review (and you've linked your handle to the profile created via that review), others should come more easily.

Also, I assume you've checked to make sure someone hasn't already reviewed you!  I only mention that because I know some cases where a provider didn't know she'd been reviewed even though the reviews had been published for awhile.

(1) Posted an ad every 7 days on your regional ad board
(2) Read your local regional board every day and post responses to threads you care to add a comment. When you reply to another post, you are permitted to add a link to your site at the bottom your comment
(3) Tried to contact another reputable provider in your area to ask for some mentoring advice

Also, read the TER Instructional Manual found at the top of the Newbie board.

Good luck to you.

TER penetration and Provider preferences vary by market. In some cities, there are very few clients that have even heard of TER. In some cities, Providers have the option of seeing many clients who are already on TER. Even in TER rich areas, some Providers see a mix on TER and non-TER clients.

Some Providers can tell you what percentage of business comes from different sources:
TER generated lead: x%;
Backpage ad (well, not any more): y%
Personal website: z%
Eros, Slixa, ...

You can always ask a client to review you on TER. If they ask, "What's TER?", now is your chance to encourage them to sign up and review you.

I think it's OK to offer a discount on a return visit if they review you. "I offer a $50 discount to TER Reviewers, you know." But I'd better let perfectstorm or others chime in on that to avoid the appearance of a bribe and what is allowed by TER rules.

Thanks for the specific rule.

It is OK to offer a "discount for TER Members" or "P411 Members" and stuff like that. There is no quid pro quo in that case and it should apply fairly to all such members.

Since you're just starting out, you can offer a "discount for TER REVIEWERS" as an inducement to get him to write a review and get the discount on his next visit. You won't know (or control) what is in the review, so you'll have to wait until it's published. If you don't like the review or score, you can decline a second visit and say, "Apparently, I don't think I can make you very happy. I don't want to disappoint you a second time." Or maybe, "Yeah, I wasn't having a good day: twisted my ankle, lost my wallet, hotel screwed up my reservation, ... But I promise to make it up to you the next time (with the advertised discount) and you can write a new review updating the old one."
