I believe provider's can get VIP days for reporting problems on their own profile.

I don't know this 100%, as I obviously have never accessed TER through a provider account. This is based on hearsay, but a provider who used to post here a lot said that they got VIP days for problem reports on their own profiles, and she would split up the issues on purpose and use one problem report to submit each single issue to maximize her VIP days rather than consolidating all errors into a "contact us." It would be nice if a current provider who posts here can confirm this (or if admin would chime in, but I won't hold my breath for that. Lol). Also, a provider who has the Limited Provider VIP (and the OP does have it based on her "See my reviews" link) can still use full VIP for various features that the Limited VIP does not give them.

Hello Lovlies!

I have been on TER for awhile now but have yet to post anything. Just wanted to say hello first of all.

I was wondering how I can change my rate on my profile page and an old link to an add with incorrect rates. Im losing potential clients when I tell them it's not what the outdated information says.  I have emailed twice and keep getting a reply about how to read my reviews.

Please help!

Blair : )

... via the Report a Problem button on your profile page.  Just describe the changes you wish to make.  If that doesn't work, try the Contact Us link, at the bottom of this page.

Do providers get the VIP days for problem reports on their own profiles? If not, the OP could ask a regular who is a member here to take care of it and he would get four days. Or her.

Also I think problem reports earn 2 VIP days, not 4.

I believe his mention of 4 days was because a person can do 2 seperate problem reports for the 2 issues she mentioned.

For this particular type of problem it's probable best for her to get the limited VIP that any provider can get for free.

Her handle is linked to her reviews. I thought that meant she already has provider free VIP. (Is that wrong?)

Was just wondering whether turning in a PR about herself could earn her days with real VIP, which she may find useful. If not, she may as well do a regular a solid and ask him to fix it with a PR. On second thought, that was stupid anyway because admin will probably wanna hear it from her.

...any days for problem reports or anything else as her VIP never ends. (The link to her reviews is the indication she has the provider VIP.) Though as I write this I wonder if a provider with the free limited VIP can earn VIP days with problem reports etc. since those would give her access to the full VIP. I may be wrong about her not needing free VIP days for report a post, problem reports and so on. Well she may not need them but they could prove useful. OK, enough wondering.

She could use the Problem Report but since there are two things she needs corrected using Contact Us would probably be better.

Sending in individual problem reports for seperate problems can earn you 2 days per report. Using contact us to report several problems at once will not.

No VIP days are given to providers for reporting their own updates.

And if members submit multiple reports for the same provider that could have been done in one problem report, they will only receive 2 days or be prevented from submitting problem reports.

Also, (not directed at perfectstorm) do I need to explain the difference between ad and add?

Logically, It makes sense of course to not give providers VIP days for reports on their own profile. Like I said, I was just relaying what a provider said here in the past. (And she claimed she did it all the time!)

As for your second point, I know people who get away with that regularly. This is obviously a hard thing for you to enforce.

...and update the rates in your ad.  Otherwise, if you update your rates on your TER profile, guys will still ask for the rate in the ad.

That's one of those self generated ad sites that just mine info from other sources. She is better off asking TER to remove that site from her profile.

...should be reported to TER for removal if the rates are outdated, but her Sugar Nights ad does not have any rates.  She must be talking about her Cityvibe ad.  I don't know if she has any control over that ad either.

I hadn't even clicked on her ads earlier. Just looked st the profile and assumed Sugar nights was the one with incorrect info since I have seen that so many times in the past. I did look at the ads now and noticed Sugar nights had no rates and cityvibe has rates but the cityvibe ad is from June. She should have TER remove the Sugar nights site. She should ask cityvibe to remove her ad there, or she should update her cityvibe ad with a current one. Cityvibe will cooperate with a provider unlike the other site.

Some Profile info is easier to change than other info. Since you are the most authoritative source of info about you, TER should trust you if you report a change via a Problem Report or Contact Us.

If I was TER, I would want to make sure that the person claiming to be you is you and, I think, email is the most common way of authenticating that. If the email on your TER account is different from the email in your Profile or ads, they might want some other kind of proof.

Or, more likely, TER just screwed up when processing your previous requests.
