some good points - sometimes this board is a bit too "provider biased"

Another review another bad experience.  Even guys without TER memberships should read the reviews and see the handwriting on the wall of other poor souls that have been enticed by her looks and the claims of GFE on her website.  14 out of 21 reviews should tell you to stay away.  She does not belong in this business.  And there are far better looking ladies locally and traveling that are a lot more enjoyable for a few dollars more.  Stop wasting your hard earned dollars.  Okay...I feel better having written...from one who got ripped off before discovering TER.

Many thoughts...

a.  The whole issue of revolving name changes has been discussed in several threads before...  A number of people have proposed legitimate reasons for name changes, yet experience shows that name changes or doing business under multiple names are virtually always an attempt to evade a bad reputation, and some, like Traci/Tracilynn, are just outright ripoffs that used to change names frequently, but are now standing their ground and "ripping off with pride," the old fashioned way.

b.  I think we're too "moderate" (if there is such a thing) with providers here...  We don't give the really good ones the benefit of the doubt nearly as often as we should, and we're too nice too the really bad ones too.  We have some GREAT, GREAT local talent, and plenty of good travelers too.  We owe it to them, and to ourselves, to stop referring to these fringe rip-off artists as "providers," as that tarnishes the name.

We should be better about calling a spade a spade.  On TER, we're always careful to not invoke term "ripoff" unless it's a true cash-and-dash deal.  But if a provider pops you $$$ and what you get is an unenthusiastic covered HJ that you have to finish yourself...  Face it, you got ripped off.  If you went to Manny's and shelled out $300 for a business dinner, but they brought you a Whopper with cheese...  Holy shit, there'd be armed insurrection on the skyway.  Yet we often let intentionally bad performance slide because at least "some" service was provided.

c.  I think there's a combination ego/chase dynamic at work...  Some people see a provider with mostly 2s and 3s, but a few 8s, and think to themselves "surely I'm the one guy who is so hot that I can win her affections."  In the gambler, the illusion that at least one or two other guys over the years got lucky makes the pursuit instinct even stronger.  Roullette odds are 1 in 35, and that's still enough to keep some guys at the table.
