Sym's,  an educated consumer is our best customer.  Someone has already mentioned research, but there's more to it. And whatever you do, DON'T THINK WITH YOUR LITTLE HEAD. More monger s screw up by doing exactly that.

In advance of my first engagement with a provider, I would be grateful for hints from TER hobbyists and providers alike concerning common newbie hobbyist mistakes.  As a complete newbie, I am trying anticipate and avoid doing silly/stupid things...impossible to eliminate all mistakes and faux pas, I suppose, but perhaps I can reduce them...

In addition to common mistakes, are there any steps I can take that may increase the likelihood of a positive experience?

board. There is a lot to learn but many topics often repeat every 7-10 days.

Read her reviews if she has any. If most are good then you know she's good to go.

Take a nice hot shower before you see her. Shave any facial hair and if possible shave your fun zone.

If going to her place known as an Outcall, make sure the location is safe.

If she's going to your place known as an Incall, make sure you place is presentable and clean. Also keep money and valuables out of sight. Make sure she's within your sight at all times. You don't want her wandering around your place.

Be polite and respectful to her at all times when you see her. No vulgar language or sex talk. Respect her limits. No means No.

Pay after the session is over. Never pay upfront especially if this is your first time meeting her.

Ignore pretty much everything in the quoted post. The only thing in that reply that makes any sense is the recommendation for checking reviews and being clean and well groomed, and respectful.  As for shaving your 'fun zone', the last thing you want is a fresh razor cut somewhere that you might want your new friend to pay any close attention.  If you do more than trim, do it the day before.
If you have an appointment for outcall (your place) with a well reviewed established provider, you shouldn't need to worry about her wandering around.  Regardless of incall or outcall, it's expected that your donation is discretely exchanged before the session begins.  If your winging it with an unreviewed provider from some other site, with no verification of the lady, you're on your own.  You 'could' find a diamond in the rough, or a complete ripoff.

Don't skimp on that.

Read ALL the reviews on a person, and check out many providers.

Reading the Self Help Manual is also an excellent way to be prepared.

Don't forget to check your fly before you leave also

Know what you want.  Do the research as to reading reviews.  Take the reviews with a grain of salt, i.e., if most of the reviews are 8/8 (or something along those lines) and one review is 5/5 (or something along those lines), don't worry too much about the 5/5.  Never, never, never discuss the exchange of money for sex.  Did I say never?  Never.  Stealing a line from Patrick Swayze from Road House, always be nice, being a dick rarely gets you anywhere!  Good luck!
