Not all ladies that ask for a deposit are going to rip you off

ot every provider who asks for a deposit (I am talking about in ADDITION to screening - not in place of) is looking for someone "gullible" to "rip off". Sure, if a girl has NO reviews and has little/no online presence - proceed with caution there.

However, ladies with a solid/recent review history with reviewers who also have some history, and said provider has an online presence like professional website, P411 etc - a deposit is simply a SAFETY feature. Its not worth it to risk our reputation and entire business over a small deposit!

I am sorry if you have heard negative things about guys that have gotten ripped off with a deposit - however there are HONEST providers too.

As a newbie, I'm considering using a provider for the first time, but this will most likely be a one time thing at least for several months or possible a few years. As a result, I'm just looking for one provider. Should I go through the process of getting myself verified through one of the verification sites such as P411? Or use the money saved from joining a verification site and combine it to get a provider that is more upscale? Is giving employment info and personal info to the provider directly to verify I'm a legitimate client worth it, if it's going to be a one time thing? I have seen some offer a 50% deposit as an alternative to screening if you don't have references, is that a good option also to consider? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

I've never heard of any providers asking for 50% deposit in place of screening. DO NOT see a provider that does not screen. and since you are new and don't have references, a provider will still ask for your personal info even if you do go through p411. Find a well reviewed provider that is within your price range and is also  newbie friendly and give her what screening info she requires. That would be best

Hope this helps :-)

Xoxo,
Marie

While there are extreemly rare exceptions, giving a deposit is an invitation to get ripped off.   She has a substancial amount of your money & has done nothing to earn it.  Then she suddenly is too busy or impossble to reach or changes her phone number.

Please find a well reviewed provider in your area...  several reviews by established reviewers (who have multiple reviews himself).  You don't have referances so you will need to give some screening information one way or the other.

Many guys only hobby occasionally...  on business trips, vacations, or other golden opportunities.  You still need to take precautions (not your regular phone or email address).

There is a wealth of FREE information in the self help section.

... into the Gullible Bin.

You are an unknown in a large pool of non-LE and maybe-LE pebbles (potential clients). Some of the guys in that pool are TER savvy non-LE, non-TER non-LE, etc., and maybe even some non-savvy LE.

Her first screen, a 50% deposit, removes the TER-savvy non-LE and savvy LE guys out of the pool. That leaves gullible non-LE and gullible LE.

Let's say she gets money from one of those gullible fish. (Yeah, I just switched from a pool of pebbles to  pool of fish.) Ka-ching!

Then, without using P411 or calling references or anything else, her next screen would be to meet the fish to determine if they are non-LE or LE, a risky proposition. ... Wait a second. She's got free money (50% of the fee) at zero risk and zero effort (in the room). Why bother with the next risky step at all?  Kiss your deposit goodbye and she stops taking your calls and emails.

A lot of guys won't submit deposits even to well established and well reviewed Providers. Your scenario sounds 1000x worse.

Try something else or someone else.

Good luck!

information you are comfortable in giving for screening. Deposits should be reserved for multi-hour dates, meaning 4 hours or more.

My choice would be P411.

will rip you off if you send a deposit. However, the number who will rip you off, is significant enough that most smart hobbyists are very gun shy or completely against sending deposits.
