and the risk adverse...  should stick to well reviewed ladies.   START on TER.  Sure look at her ads but also read her complete reviews.  Verify her pictures through an image search site.   Don't get hung up on one provider...  this is not Match . com  You want nice enough for an hour or 2.  If you do find your 'perfect' provider (or so you think...  ads are not the same as in person) better to make the newbie mistakes with Ms Nice Enough.

On her own site, she can write her own reviews or cherry pick them.

First time in newbie in Illinois. There is a provider that I'm interested in but she seem a bit unusual. I saw her originally on BP and she has a website. The website is actually relatively good. She doesn't accept verification and she is adamant that she does her own backgrounds and has a form that everyone MUST fill out on her page. She also doesn't have any reviews anywhere but on her site and asks that people don't post reviews anywhere but on her site. What do you all think?

2nd, how do you avoid LE in general? Is hiring a provider immediately breaking the law or does it depend on what you do with her?

As a newbie, you should still to finding a lady who has reviews on this site.  Having reviews listed on her site only, I would be skeptical as to the validity of them.  Just because she has her own website, doesn't guarantee anything.

As for verifying you, every lady is different with their approach.  Even having a membership on a site like P411 doesn't automatically rule a lady out from wanting more information.  Not all providers have a P411 profile either.

My suggestion to you is to move on from this provider and find another who can prove her legitimacy. Having reviews on this site and a P411 profile increase your odds tremendously

Welcome!  :-)

OK, so are you in the Chicago area or elsewhere?

If this provider advertises in the Chicago area, then I suggest asking about her on the Chicago Regional Board of this site.
Put her name in the subject of your post and include the link to her ad.
There are some very helpful, knowledgeable hobbyists on that board who can weigh in!  :-)

Now, some ladies DO screen that way, but it's far from the most popular method.  I don't want to alarm you unduly but there have been cases of sites like these set up solely for the purpose of credit card fraud and/or identity theft.
She may very well be legitimate, but (as HappyCamper said) at your early stage in the game, you need to stick with solid, reputable, easily-verified ladies.

There are some quality, verifiable ladies on BP but therre are other sites where you'll likely find a higher percentage of them.  ;-)
Again, this depends on where you are.

I'm always happy to help, so please feel free to PM or email me anytime

with only reviews on her site and I thought, what good does this do me?... moved on. I am a newbie too and have been taking my sweet time with this and I'm actually mid-verification process with a provider. Hoping to hear back soon. The advice I have been given has led me to look for well reviewed providers with (lots of reviews by people who have written many reviews and/or have whitelists) and are newbie friendly (some accept LinkedIn and some other personal info.) I'm just repeating advice I've been given of course.

I would do your first time with some more seasoned providers who are verifiable, so you can get a feel for how this goes. Say 6 months down the line or something, you'll have more of a feel for how everything works, and will be able to make a better judgment if the girl is the real deal without reviews, or fishy.

Right now, I wonder if you have the experience yet to start taking dives off the deep end right off the bat.

For the first point, verification, decide up front what information you are willing to divulge.  General occupation?  Race?  Age?  Legal address?  Legal ID (with DOB and last name redacted)?  All should be ok.

Specific employer?  Full legal name and DOB?  I suggest you avoid these as a newbie, since either could be paths to extortion or identity theft.

For your second question, about how to avoid LE: no, it is not illegal (in afaik *ANY* US jurisdiction) to pay someone to spend time with you.  Also, afaik, it is illegal in *every* US jurisdiction to pay someone for any sexual activity, with the exception of certain counties and businesses in the state of NV.  What does this mean in practical terms?  Never discuss both a price and sexual activities...not in general expectations, not in euphemisms, not in acronyms, not at all.  Never, under any circumstances, acknowledge that you expected any kind of sexual activity for the money you provided.  Stick to time of appointment, length of appointment, location of appointment, and price, and you *should* be safe.  Also, beware that "exchange of sexual services" can apply to almost anything of value...property, lodging, money, food, jewelry, transportation, ....

In addition, outcall appointments, whether to a hotel or your residence, are the absolute lowest in terms of LE risk for hobbiests (for providers, not so much!).  There is pretty much *zero* chance that any undercover LEO or informant is going to enter your room/home and let you lock the door behind them.

Assuming you are still reading (because you want incall, not outcall)....be very careful.  Ideally, when you arrive at the incall location, the girl you expected will make herself visible (i.e, in the hotel lobby, or outside her room, or wherever she directs you to go.)  My most important advice here is this: if at any point you feel uncomfortable or at risk, abort and cancel.

Assuming we are still talking incall, and you are now inside a room with a "provider", make sure she undresses first.  Donation should be placed somewhere obvious, but ideally next to your cellphone and car keys.  (As far as I'm concerned, upon leaving, I picked up my phone and keys, and just forgot to pickup any cash that may or may not have been in the same place).  But in any case, you should not discuss specific sexual activities, euphemisms, acronyms, etc, until and unless the "provider" is completely naked.

Finally, if you are terribly unlucky, and find yourself in that "oh fuck, I'm in handcuffs" moment, remember this:  the police are NOT your friends.  You are NOT going to talk you're way out of this.  Anything you say can only make things worse for you.  So refuse to answer any questions without a lawyer.  Even if you don't currently have a criminal defense lawyer, it doesn't matter...you can get one later.  You're entire goal is to get them to stop asking questions, and then force them to release you.

Great advice. I love this website and the people here. May I ask, have you ever been in that "oh fuck" situation? and if so what is the penalty for first offense? If you don't want to answer if you have that is fine. I have looked this up for IL and can't find a solid answer.. my guess is there isn't totally a solid answer.. If anyone has any good resources/websites for looking up laws and stuff like this please share.

Thanks

In the state of Illinois Solicitation of Prostitution is a Class A Misdemeanor, unless the subject is a minor or mentally disabled then it becomes a Class 4 Felony.

Just Google "law prostitution illinois" for more information.

No, but I've only been hobbying seriously for less than a year, and since I'm single and live alone, I have a *strong* preference for outcalls to my home.  But as a great example of what not do, the police interview tape of a certain NFL commentator that was busted for prostitution during a recent Superbowl can be easily found online.

As to your other question, in my jurisdiction (AZ), there is no separate charge for a client or provider - both can be charged with prostitution.  Normally it is a misdemeanor, but requires serving at least 15 days in jail if found guilty.  Subsequent violations get progressively longer, and a 4th violation is a felony.

My guess is every state legislature publishes their statutes online now

Thanks for the thorough reply. This is very helpful. That being said, I've been thinking about signing up on p411. What are your thoughts? The thorough screening makes me a little nervous.

Where in Illinois?

but put her on the back burner.  See a couple of verifiable providers, get some experience.  Then circle back & check out this one who has caught your eye, more fully.

Anymore for ladies to not accept reviews. Some only like to put the non explicit parts on thier site because of how vulgar they can get/legal ramifications etc. As far as the background/screening info thing that seems a bit odd.....

If you search her can you find any social media? It would be a good sign if she had a good online presence.

Good luck!
