Hi Carly!

Thoughts on 2nites CNN parts unknown , vegas, with anthony bourdaine ex chef on cable

Ezee Darling...

My first thought is don't drink and post lol (or if you do use spell check like the rest of us when we drink and post, lol)

For those that didn't catch the show on CNN it's OnDemand if you have some time- there's also 2 articles about it here but doesn't cover quite as much-

I've never been to that particular Villa at CP but at $40,000/night (http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/apr/29/40000-caesars-palace-pool-villas-among-strips-late/) I assume you too can have Guy Savoy himself cook you dinner in the suite. I can highly recommend the colors of caviar dish which they do serve at Guy Savoy's Restaurant and their bread-cart is like a work of art!

IF you have the chance and are a true foodie you have to visit Raku for Sushi (and get their in-house soy sauce, totally worth the $13). Same goes for the dining experience at e by Jose Andres, it's an 8 person dining experience that you will never forget (http://www.ebyjoseandres.com)! You can skip Oscars downtown unless you are just looking for some old school ambiance.

As for the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) Scene it has exploded in ways that I still can't explain- and yes it is outpacing the intake of gambling. The truth is people (mostly the 22-25 crowd are more about the trills of experiences than the thrill of gambling, groups of 15 guys from New Jersey will come to town and each drop $200 on a $3,000 table at Hakkasan but won't put the same amount down on the craps table...

I think in ways it is better that Vegas has become more about experiences and less about gambling, especially when those experiences include time with one of the beautiful providers here in town

On the topic of the Nightclub/EDM (Electronic Dance Music) scene, spoken while surveying the young be-glowsticked crowd at Marquee:

"Come ye lords and princelings of douchedom.

Hear my clarion call.

Anointeth thyself with gel and heavenly body spray.

Maketh the sign of the devil horns with thine hands.

Let there be the high fiving and the hugging of many bros, for this is the kingdom and the power.

Now frolic and maketh it to rain."
