First off the ride is called the High Roller the street experience leading up to is between the Quad a Flamingo hotels is the LINQ it's kind of confusing, lol (and don't make the mistake of calling it a ferris wheel in front of anyone affiliated with the "Observation Wheel" apparently there is a difference).

Sadly even if "your" ride can last 45 min, the wheel takes 30 min to do a full rotation from start to finish, so you may have to manage your (divisible by 3) time/expectations accordingly..  

Also I don't know if there is a way to reserve your own sphere but when I went on it (around 10pm on a weeknight) it was pretty slow but they were sending about 20 people per sphere and while my group had about 8 people and there was no one in line behind us when we tried to hang back and get our own they held the line and sent 2 spheres empty til we had enough to fill the quota. Perhaps it's a counter balance or weight dispersion thing?

If you do make it on to the ride alone there are camera's in each sphere so make sure you smile pretty and position the girls so everyone can see their best sides, lol!  

Oh and if all that rocking of the cabin throws off the custom-designed spherical roller bearings, stalling the ride (so maybe you can get that full 45 min in) each cabin has a ration of emergency supplies stored in the floor- perfect for a post romp rehydration!
