Do any contributors to this board count the number of reads their posts receive?
Why/why not?
Do you get angry/frustrated/jealous/whatever if your post does not get the reads you think it deserves?
Do you get angry/frustrated/jealous/whatever when other contributors have postings which get more reads than yours?
Is brevity the soul of wit here?
Or is a comprehensive approach better?
True confession time : I do count the number of reads. But my fingers and toes so far suffice to help me out with this task.

maybe it's the post that needs work. too many are needlessly wordy, long-winded and terribly uninteresting.

I think depends on the board and the topic.
That some posts have read counts in the hundreds but there only seems to be a small number of regular posters to this board.
So I guess there are a lot of lurkers!!
