What is a GFE to you? Do you ask before getting further along in the negotiations what is & isn't allowed w/ the provider and/or let her know what you like to do as well? I've seen 4 providers in the southern ME area & had 2 good, 1 great & 1 so-so experiences among them. Each time I said up front what I wanted, they let me know what was & wasn't allowed & it went from there. I know that may seem a bit detached & clinical & not quite the way a GFE should go, but at the end of the day, this isn't like a regular guy meets girl, guy likes girl, girl like guy kind of thing. Once you find a few that become ATF's the GFE feeling can & does happen, but like anything else involving two people, it takes empathy, time & communication to get there. You do, as the previous poster said, get what you pay for to some extent, but price is never the only factor in how you & a provider get along. Treat the lady like a lady, not a tramp & you'll be rewarded most times, but like anything else, YMMV.
Thanks for the words. I know you get what you pay for and I need to be willing to up the ante. I am always polite and respectful to any provider I see. My problem is usually nerves. But they have always helped me get past that. Just wanted to be clear that I approach the encounter very respectfully. As far as details, I suppose I have always gotten price, made the commitment, then found out the rules as I don't want to be rude and discuss details on the phone. And once I'm there, the bottom head usually takes over anyway!
