Hi everyone-
I'm super new and just figuring things out and a very nice person got in touch with me for a session but he doesn't have P411 (which is what I've been mostly using for people to contact me becuase I like the OK-system). He told me his TER handle instead, also his datecheck handle, but I don't really get how I'm supposed to find his profile or reviews on TER. Can someone help me with this? sorry if this is a silly question, but do clients get reviews like providers do? Do they get okays like p411?
Let me know and if anyone has any other tips about screening, I'd love that information too!!

...the page and click on the tab that says Reviews. Then just below the tabs you will see some links. The third from the left is "Search", click or just place your cursor on that link. Don't click " Search Reviews".
When your cursor is on the "Search" link a drop down menu will show. Scroll down to "Search by Reviewers" and click it.
Type his TER handle in the box marked "reviewers username".
Then click the big dark "Search" button below that box. It will take you to a list of his reviews.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will find his White List.
It's a list of providers that have said he was OK. You can click on the provider's name and you'll be taken to her profile. Her contact info is there. A White List is not the same as a P411 OK but many providers use it as one part of their screening. Some providers don't use it at all.

I know a provider can read reviews but can she look up whitelists, clients reviews, and etc. without the paid VIP?

The provider VIP gives them access to those things. If she has his e-mail and it's the one he used to join TER she can use it. I think if she's going to use the e-mail she has to click on "Search Whitelist" in the drop down menu.
The note under her handle which says See My TER Reviews is evidence she has the provider VIP.

Can you please explain this to me a little more? Because when I looked up this client I could only read his reviews of providers, not providers reviews of him.

...refers to reviews he has written about providers he has seen. TER doesn't have reviews of clients by providers only the White List.

On the white pages are there providers reviews of hobbyists there? Because on the P411 you have the OK system, right? Are the reviews of providers supposed to be similar to that?
... written by him on his experience with the provider. The White List also called White List Referral is similar to the P411 OK but is not the same. (It has no commentary about the client.) On TER a provider can White List a client which is a simple way for her to vouching for him. As I said in my first reply to you some providers will use the White List to screen a client some will not. The hobbyists White List is below his list of reviews, (his review of his experience with providers he has seen). You can click on the providers name which is on the left of the White List. You will be taken to her profile where you can get her contact information and contact her to ask about the "client" you are screening.
Click the link I've placed below. It will take you to my reviews (my words about my experience with the provider). Scroll down to the bottom of my list of reviews and you will see this:
"Xyz23's White List Referrals
Below is a list of providers that personally vouch for Xyz23. You can see the providers profile by clicking on their names."
I said above that the White List is like the P411 OK but not the same. On P411 the provider has to have seen the hobbyist to give him an OK and he has to request it. Here on TER she may not have seen him and she can White List him without his asking.
BTW: Have you read the one review you have. If not reading it may help you see what TER reviews are about
... some reviewers post reviews under their alias. If you wish to see if there's any reviews under an alias, you can search on reviews by the alias in addition to using a TER handle.
Although not a common problem, there are those who will claim to be someone they are not. You can also search by the email address they use to communicate with you; that makes it more likely they are who they say they are (unless they know how to spoof an email address).
Of course, the easiest thing to do is to have them PM you here on TER; then you can click on their name from the message and go directly to their review/whitelist page

I have another question. If a hobbyist has only a few reviews of clients he's seen, but only a few and from over 1.5/2 years ago, is that too long to consider as a good reference? What would be a time-frame that you would use?

...are not used for anything. If he knew his number (I doubt he does as most don't know they have one.) and gave it to her she wouldn't be able to use it to get any information about him.
