One thing is for sure is all ladies do things differently, myself included. However, for the most part we pretty much operate the same way.  

It is not uncommon that a gent asks the lady who he wants to use a reference first for her permission.  Some ladies require this.  Generally, just email her (I never do this via phone) and politely ask her permission.  Do give her the name, website link, reviews link, contact information of the lady you wish to see.  When a gentleman does this I always research the lady to make sure I am comfortable exchanging references with her.  My criteria is pretty common.  I have run into issues where the lady was new and no reviews.  In that case, I will explain to the gent you are welcome to toftt but choosing ladies who have reviews and are well known will pretty much keep you safe.  Now grant you that is not always the case. Sadly I have heard of issues with well known ladies who think they own the client and don't want to share, drugs involved and just plain ole drama.  However, that is not my call and up to the gent to decide who he wants to play with!!

For the most part ladies really don't ask or want to know details.  All I want to know is have you seen the gent and did everything go ok.  That as well, is pretty standard.

As far as a minimum amt. of dates...nope. However I do require the date to be in the last 6 months. I can't tell you how many times I have gotten a reference request for someone I haven't seen in 2 years.  Plus, I have heard of it from other girls too as well and I will tell you this is a major beef to us ladies.  Once you get a new reference, please use her!!

Agencies...some ladies will accept them and alot will not.  Me personally, after years of hearing things that I don't like, I have chosen not to use agencies for references.  I love the independent girls who are their own boss and prefer to deal with them.
