'WAR' 'BATTLE' 'FBI' 'FIGHTING'??

OMG!! What's wrong with this picture?

Suzanne

Legislative morality is the message; but not the practice by those doing the legislating.

hope the ladies don't feel the same.

Can't we all just get along?

This is kinda like the PETA people protesting eating meat in front of McDonalds.....   it backfired....  Almost everyone - at one time or another - has viewed porn....
Why go after this and not after the priesthood that prayed on young kids in Catholic schools and activities is a mystery to me! and it solidifies my position that you live in a bizarre world.

I have actually met a couple of porn stars or two and have to admit - they have the same stresses and concerns that I have - kids mortgage and the usual stuff.

I guess the thought of Mary Cary actually winning an election, or Jenna Jamison becoming a corporate mogul was too much for the religious zealots and they could not stand for it!

Oh well, Suzanne, I would rather spend an hour with you than watch a lifetime of porn anyway - so I guess, I am out of the porn concerns! lol, I crack me up!

Once a provider asked to "Super Size Me".

Well I failed at that miserablly, but I pleasured myself anyway, with her and the porn. Mostly her.

...watching DVDs and videotapes -- it'd be a regular "Law and Order -- SAU (Self-Abusers Unit)"!

Starting a War on Porn is what Republican administrations do when they're losing their other wars, such as the wars on terrorism, Iraq and global warming.  Nixon did it when HE was losing the war in Vietnam and against the electoral process (i.e., Watergate).

Nixon convened a presidential commission of "experts" to draft a report on pornography.  Their report said they couldn't find any bad effects porn was responsible for.  Nixon REFUSED TO SIGN the report and sent it back!  Bush won't make the same mistake.  If HE apoints a commission, he'll staff it with fundamentalists....

I'm already a "volunteer Smut-inspector" spending countless hours of my own time tracking down internet porn - I might as well get a pay-check for it!

I'm sure when you fill out the application with your handle you are a complete shoe-in.

Where in the hell is Agent Ben-Dover? LOL

It seems to me that porn is like alcohol, it's a prohibition nobody is going to accept.  We gotta regulate it to avoid kids' involvement, public health issues, etc., but the question here is putting our money where our mouth is.

You're not going to find any pol come out in favor of porn, so it has to be fought as a budget issue.    Fighting fundamentalists and their allies is probably the best bet.

My suspicion would be that one of the most effective attacks on fundies and televangelists generally would be to eliminate IRC 501(c)(3).  Problem is, every other do-gooder  (eg NOW, NRA $ Sierra club alike) will also piss & moan.

Time to get back to basics:  What's good for GM is good for the country; if ya ain't making money, make room for those who are [wink]

Their all a bunch of jack offs anyway, er I mean Jerk offs.

They have to much time and to little woody's on their hands.
