DC is now a "competing review site" and as such mentioning it by name is verboten.

Hopefully you will read this before your post is pulled.

Chances are that your post will soon be deleted because D-C is currently banned from being named on TER.

I am guessing that D-C will reverse their new policy and be allowed back. In the meantime, you can ask Qs about "the recently banned verification service" or other cryptic naming.

Maybe you can just refer to D-C as Voldemort

They are doing some kind of new layout with the site and it is horrible.
Profiles are disappearing and the guys can't see their references.
Customer service will  not respond to anyone's correspondence. Before this new layout I would say yes depending on what city you are in but now nope don't recommend.I recommend P411.

biggest waste of money in The hobby. I never even go on it anymore, so was unaware of all the changes everyone has been talking about, but it sounds like it just went from bad to awful.

I did check it from time to time, but unless they have a major overhaul, I doubt I'll ever use it again.

especially on the East Coast for quite a while. Yes, the site was acquired and an awful update was launched, but the site has been restored to it's original format and I'm sure the new owners are working hard to try to make the new format rollout less of an issue.

So... Date-Check has been a good resource; whether it continues to be one remains to be seen as the new site is rolled out.

My perception is that the sheer numbere of posts about the site here on TER alone indicates that it has been an important aand well-used resource for many of us.

The rollout of the new D-C proved to be a disaster on many levels so they have gone back to the old D-C for now. No more hint of reviews so I guess D-C is no longer banned from mention on TER ... for now.

I am assuming that TER will, someday, come out with an updated TER Review Database (new scoring system? new "build" / body type descriptors? more sensible ethnicities? a real FAQ for Newbies? etc.?) and an updated, easier to use TER Forum. There are going to be similar, but I hope not as bad, changeover pains. Some old data fields will not easily migrate to new data fields, either by design or by programming error. Some old posts might be lost to new Forum software but maybe remain accessible via some sort of add-on tool.

But do not just shut down an old site and launch a new site without extensive testing by real users in a realistic environment
